let me start by saying i know these are not fancy jdm VIP wheels

i know maximas are not in the VIP category

the M has a similar shape as the maxima and I think the maxima could probably pull off the vipstyle look.

i think ONE leonhardritt waffe is the same price as a set of the stern wheels. personally(and a lot here would agree) i would drop down to 18's and rock these. still conservative offsets with goood lip. not to mention major KUDOS for ''SSR'' alll for a VERY GOOD price

That's the thing, I can't afford to pay more than 2500 for a set of wheels n tires. Well, I probably can, I just don't want to. And I just can't see myself shovin out 2gs for a set of used wheels either.

How bout this... New wheels under 2500 (tires included). Any suggestions?

I CAN AFFORD MORE EXPENSIVE RIMS, I JUST CHOOSE NOT TO SPEND MORE. 

i bought my max new... didnt buy a 4 or 5 yr old lex or infiniti...

ill be out of my max and into another new car b4 most of you get your next set of wheels.

Sad thing is, his "13 thousand dollar VIP box car" is more VIP than your maxima will ever be, which is what these forums are about. VIP cars, not the nasty wheels on a maxima forum. If you don't like people's opinions or thoughs on this forum perhaps its the wrong forum for you, I'm sure all of the other forums full of gross cars and poor wheel choices out there would accept you.

i chose not to pick vip style wheels for my max bc it doesnt fit in the vip category... kinda like the xb doesnt... 

 i asked for a photoshop, not an opinion or a debate.

but now that it got all outta hand, lets debate. 

$34k on a new max... clean as can be... loaded with up to date technology

or 

a. $12k for an old ass 199X lex with 100k+ miles thatll need prolly about $9k (if you dont go half assed) on wheels, paint, body work, minor repairs, body kit, and suspension

or.........

b. an economical XB made for new teenaged drivers that needs a kit, curtains, tables, hids, wheels, leather, badging, HORSEPOWER, chrome handles mirrors side sills bumper valence etc to make it look like the box it was when it was first bought

ANSWER IS....

a lexus is a lexus... yay! but... when its 10yrs old... its really not that cool... and to still have a car note on it...aint any betterl. but hey, maybe you just cant keep up with new cars.

If you care about getting quality wheels, then I would recommend against those sterns... golden apple bought the rights to the stern name after stern japan went out of business and is now applying it to the big, chrome crap they get from taiwan. It's a little bit better crap than the rest of their ADR lineup, but crap nonetheless, especially at the price they sell it at due to the "stern" name. But if you can get them for dirt cheap, then I guess why not, especially if you really really like the style. But yah, as long as you know it's not vip, and realize that you're on a vip mssg board......

they couldnt find 1 of the 4 stern wheels in that style...

i originally ordered 20x8.5 +20 and 20x10 +25. they called me back n said they highly recommend NOT doing that on a maxima.. saying it wont clear

they suggested going 20x8.5 all the way around with +35 all the way around. this is coming from the company that made these wheels... they are limited to +20 +25 and +35 offsets

stock fitment is 18x7.5 +40 

given some fender work I think the first offsets mentioned would have been pretty crazy, but those wheels will look pretty good on the max if you slam it... post pics once you get them on!

How would you maxima compare to a 2002 Lexus LS430 ultra luxury edition, which by the way is cheaper than your maxima.

They will turn out on the dub-ish side I think unless you go a bit mad with the drop though, but I think they are way way way better than the other wheels.
