see, this is the kind of stuff i have been wanting to see. I dont like looking at pics of bagged cars and having to wonder "but what height does he DRIVE at?

I dont suppose you could get a vid of you rolling at that height? I want to see how it reacts to direction changes (swerving left/right etc). That height looks great, and if it still behaves like a normal car at that height it would make air very tempting...

Nice DEE! and it's good to see that Insurance Y33 still around!!!

The pic in my sig is my daily ride hit is right around here, maybe a tad bit lower in the rear but not by much due to lip hitting the fender! :pat: C4 President can vouche for me!
Man I would dream to ride that low out here in SD w/ a kit, but it would be smashed up in no time! Hey Dee, do you ever get the sound of the front hitting the wheel well through a dip? I do all the time, but I just turn my music up so I don't here it! Hahahahaha!

BTW- I'll try to get some rolling shots/Video when I can find a buddy w/ a camera and time! But at that height the ride isn't bad at all. Actually I would like to think it's better the lower I get!

YO Pancakes,,the reason you here that noise when hitting pot wholes is you have 20" wheels..the clearance you gain from the bottom has now moved up to the top..I use to here that as well with the 20" but now with the 19" no more now I scrape the bottom...you might try running a 225/30 in the front and get some adjustable camber plates and that should help you there...

my suspension bottoms out before I hit fender.........the only way i can touch the fender is hitting a driveway hard while turning and being real low in the front.....but not enough to damage the fender

IC! Yea some times when I run the height in the front really low, you can smell the rubber burning from rubbing aganist the top of the wheel well lining! Hahahaha! That's when I raise it a little! But yea, it's not a problem to me because it doesn't hit hard enough to do any damage and it's only if I hit a dip hard enough! But riding at my daily hight (which is pretty low in the front, IMO) I don't have these problems. It's only when I want to show off!!!

just wiate till you get some 19's..everything should change...you will notice that just by adding wheels and some streched out tires and come camber in the rear, you will be lower than stock and wont be able to ride as low as with the stockies...

It varies..... smooth sidestreets almost all the way down.....I've bottomed out the back driving...... that's when you know your low....1-1.5" street.....i couldnt even tell you freeway height.... but on the 10 east I can ride super low....not too many dips.......I dunno if you noticed....but at higher speeds u can roll lower because the downforce loads tha bags...just gotta watch for where them pavement changes......and also your car starts steering itself when your really low...lol...also when i had my stocks on i could ride almost dumped because them 4x4 tires soak up alot of them bumps.....

Im not really feeling these whole "my ride height is lower then yours" my dik is bigger then yours threads. Anyone can pick the straightest road they know of and ride slammed and video tape it and talk about how low they DD the car at that height lol. Back on topic, the first day I got the car, I was so low in front that when I rolled down my window to pay a toll, all I could smell is burnt rubber. I then looked at my front fenders and they were covered in rubber.

im just letting the guys with coilovers know that we too can ride low (but not as low as

with coils, ofcourse). because i always get, "oh air sucks because you gotta drive it like a

4x4 and you can slam it down when you're parked." im satisfied with my ride and air setup,

as long it still looks dope as fuck im straight with that.

Yes it does, im redoing my front suspension as we speak, I should no longer rub, the front wheels will camber in alittle so I can sit flush.

Oh yea, I know that. Not everyone is the same. Some people with coils ride heigh and some people with air ride heigh. The difference with the air people is they have an option to ride lower at any given moment and as time goes on, they get comfortable with the switches, they too will ride lower.

coilovers air who really cares, there both options like springs to get your car lower..but come on who the hell wants to roll draging their frame everywhere...I know I have issues with both..more so with one over the other for personal reasons as of right now..but you cant really say one is better than the other..its totaly what the driver wants..and his use for his suspension..I bet you would not find air on drift cars and formula one cars and what not as you would not see coilovers in car hop contests...I agree with widebody_q on this that its not about proving your the lowest and can ride lower with this or that...its about the overall look of the whole piece and not just a part....

I look at cars as the whole and you can be super low( i see this all the time with all the gay honda fools) with half ass paint job and sorry wheels and it does not impress me.....car has to have style and flow...or its a no go in my book.....

back on topic.

coilovers air who really cares, there both options like springs to get your car lower..but come on who the hell wants to roll draging their frame everywhere...I know I have issues with both..more so with one over the other for personal reasons as of right now..but you cant really say one is better than the other..its totaly what the driver wants..and his use for his suspension..I bet you would not find air on drift cars and formula one cars and what not as you would not see coilovers in car hop contests...I agree with widebody_q on this that its not about proving your the lowest and can ride lower with this or that...its about the overall look of the whole piece and not just a part....

I look at cars as the whole and you can be super low( i see this all the time with all the gay honda fools) with half ass paint job and sorry wheels and it does not impress me.....car has to have style and flow...or its a no go in my book.....

I ride around at close to stock height, and there a few reasons for me to do so.

1. no camber issues (excess tire wear)
2. no rubbing, most ideal ride for the accumulators
3. no risk of f-ing up my beautiful kit (which will be going on)
4. no hassle from police for being "lowered"

Sure, I can roll around everywhere tucking rim in the rear, but it just does not make sense to me. If I can get 20,000 miles out of my tires as opposed to 8,000 miles, I would rather wait till I park.

with my UAS setup.. i have a waayyy better ride on low heights, but stock height is a bit too stiff for me. anywhere higher than that, i can feel even the little waves on a smooth road. so riding as low as possible for me is just not for looks, it's also the comfort. but i know it's gonna be a lot different once i switch to 19's with stretched tires. :pat:

Considering I have hydraulics, I have considerably more travel than you. 10 inches in front, and 12 inches in the rear. So ideally, anywhere you go closer to the half way point will give you the best ride as you are given the most amount of travel.

I can't for the simple fact that my wheels are too wide in the rear and I still have my swaybars in.

Thats good news. Im currently trying to gather as much info on UAS set ups as much as I can before I get it. I thought the lower you go the more bouncer it gets. Ive seen lowriders dumped and bouncing up and down like crazy on the streets. And I dont want to be like them. I dont think ill ever pop up to stock height anways unless im going thru some speed bumps or dips.

yea i didn't go with UAS just so i can roll in stock height or 4x4, i did it so i can ride low and only have to hit the switches when i need to go over a bump or something and then hit it again and ride low. and when i park i'll go even lower.

I like coilovers because I can always be confident with how the car looks...
rolling or stopped. Air would be nice on occasion, with speed bumps, driveways,
etc., proving to be formidable obstacles. My front bumper is less than 4" off the
ground, so care must be used at all times! It's not the lowest car in the world,
but I am very happy with the stance and the car gets absolutely TONS of attention
as it is...
