Which tire should I go with?

Question here...

Which tire to go with.

I am getting new front tires for my ucf11 since my 245/40/19's just do not fit properly (rub inner fender lining at front and back, diameter is merely too large for the fender well).

I am going with 225/35/19's

Now....which tire should I go with...

Falken FK-452, Falken ST-115, Dunlop Direzza DZ101, General Exclaim UHP, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, or Kumho Ecsta SPT's.

I am going to be using Winter tires during the winter.

Leaning towards the ST-115's at $142 per tire or the 452's at $157 per tire

Or should I just stop being a ***** and just remove the inner fender lining completely?

Only concern is water damaging anything after removing the inner fender lining, can any UCF11 owners help with this?

On my SC400, I am running 225/35/19 ST115 for clearance. They are small diamter though so I had to lower the car more. Fender liners removed.

I recommend 235/35/19 for the front. I'm not sure where you can get ST115 as they are discontinued.

Well, I can only speak on ST115's and FK452's. ST115's are much louder than FK452's and the FK452's seem to run almost 1 size larger than ST115's. A 225/35/19 FK452's equals to the same amount of stretch as a 235/35/19 ST115. You can get both tires from tires.com. I thought that Falken discontinued the ST115, but tires.com seems to have lots of them in stock in the most common 19" sizes. Just get new tires vs. removing your inner fender lining.

kumho's are cheap and 'okay' for the price...of the tires you listed, i would choose the fk452's...you'll pay more up front but the you'll have NO regrets.

I know the FK's run a size larger generally, but the main thing I need to know.

A 225/35/19 FK will sit as wide as a 235 generally, BUT is the sidewall height itself also larger? 225/35 = 78.75mm sidewall height, 235/35 = 82.25 mm sidewall height.

Which of those two sidewall heights would the 225/35/19 FK actually have (for clarification)?

Hmm, I don't know what to tell you in sidewall height, but with overall diameter size of the FK452 tire you can check out their size charts.
