wheel for ucf10

hey guys im looking at some wheels to get for the LS400 im getting but im kinda worried about the offsets. lemme know what you think its for a 90 LS400 with air ride

What about the offsets worries you?

I run 19x9 +37 and 19x9.5 +42 offset and I dont have any rubbing problems whatsoever.

Except that my tires in the front have too much sidewall, lol.

i want to make sure ithey wont be too tucked in

It will look like every other LS400 with mag wheels in the US. Not even close to being flush - you could add 35mm spacers for some flush look though 
 
(same effect as having some decent wheels, like 10" wide +20 offset)

Get 19s and get better widths/offsets, otherwise you will end up regretting it later. Those would be good for an Accord or something like that

MAn those are some high offsets and the wheels you chose have what we call fake lip..I have seen folks put a 9" width wheel with a +20 offset  no problems slammed...the face of these wheels is neer the outer barel of looking from the side..it appears to flat but in reality the are curved out..giving you the illusion of a bigger lip..

if you don't want anything extreme, i would do 9" +20 and 10" +27

ok sounds good, then how about a set with these specs?

i hate the style of the second rims...i would get those AME's up top...better yet...buy me amistads!  haha

you can put a 9 and 10 on there with around a +20 offset with no major mods besides rolling the fenders.

i think im gonna go 18's so i can lay the car out

why can't you lay the car out with 19's?

you can, but less problems/modification with 18's. that and tires are cheaper
 
but i still dont know.  ugh such a hard choice

ugly. and get 19's. it will look so much better. once you lower the car with 18's you won't like the look of it.

its hard to pull of big boddy sedans with 18's..it can be done with high aggressive offset wheels and slammed to the frame...There are only a few that I have seen that I like...They loook to small...IF you do decide 19's wich I say you should YOu wont need any fender work it you get the right fitment...PEace...

will i have a problem with fitment with those above rims with them being 0 offset?

hhhmmm those wheels dont look like a +0 more like +30 - +40...but if those wont fit look for some that will..its your car though so do what makes you happy.

thats true the offset does look deceiving but would i have a problem getting 0 offset wheels to fit?

The only ones I see that may require work are the viennnas..but depending on the size of the tire I'm thinking those would be ok as well...I know most folks that go 18's end up with 40 series tires to give them more rubber but I think with the viennas a 35 series should do the trick.

i wish i could but the thing is i submitted a kinda low offer on those works i posted last. theyre on ebay and come to find out they accepted my offer so......

look for wheels thats are 9in +15 through +25 front and 10in +15 through +25 rear.  Keep in mind a 8in +20 is more sunk then 9in +20 offset. You might also need mid disk wheels in front to clear calipers. I dont think you can clear calipers with super low/low disk wheels on ucf10 without spacing them, another ucf10 owner might want to chime in. UCF20s need hi disk to clear calipers in the front because theyre dual sided dual piston.

BTW, id go for the euroline vd's. Theyre like an non cheater lip version of club lineas.

nope, you can run low disk in the front...we are fortunate to NOT have the BBK equipped in the +95 up LS.
 
I think the VD's are nasty...I'd go with a dish style but then again it seems to be the most popular rim these day...as they should be...and I don't really care for AME's...why don't you go with like a work equip or what color car do you have because some weds cerebres in annodized gold might look insane too...

i dont have the car yet but right now im looking at a freshly painted black 1990 down in florida and by brother is gonna check it out for me on saturday so hopefully it'll check out good and ill pick it up next week. as far as those wheels i didnt WANT to buy them but they accepted my offer on ebay so im kinda stuck with them for now. unless i dont pay for them but i dont want to be a deadbeat bidder......:pat:

well i guess im getting these 18's whether i like it or not. i have a pair of 215-35-18's laying around, would those be a good size for the fronts (18x8)?

18x8 +0 = 18x9 +13
18x9 +0 = 18x10 +13

Soooo, with enough stretch, cut fenders, and slight camber youll be able to fit these and be flush when slammed.

i did a search and i just want to clarify that "cutting fenders" is just cutting out the inner lip?

Yes, comes out a lot cleaner then rolling them.

if rolled properly, you can get more clearence that a cut fender...and you might wanna think about running stretch tire...i had 9.5" +3 with a mildly rolled fender and still rubbed ever so slightly...

i have 215-35's for the front and was think 225-35's for the back
