UCF11 Removing Inner Fender Lining?

Need assistance from UCF11 owners.  Is removing the inner fender lining safe?  Or is there a harness that needs to be protected with insulation / sealing after removal of the fender lining?

Help greatly appreciated.

why did you want to remove them in the first place? the wiring behind the liner is already insulated but it wouldnt hurt adding more if you want, i didnt. if its because of rubbing issues, i just cut the center section of the liner out so the tire wouldnt rub it, so i still have the front portion, and back portion of the liner so it looks like its still there...

Rubbing issues like you stated, it rubs the back area of the liner and the front area of the liner since I'm running 245/40/19's up front.  

You think I should just cut out these sections where it rubs and leave open spaced there?

yup, just cut them out...better than having nothing at all...also helps keep the road noise down...if you have access to a cut off wheel, that will be the best way...

why not run a 215/35/19 or a 225/35/19? that should give you more clearance..
