crystal emblems

Just finished up my "L" emblem. I think it looks pretty good for my first one.

Took about 250 stones and a lot of time.

Thanks to Insomniac for the crystals!

This is something that will be unique and set you off from other cars. I personally think it's too much 'bling', but that's just my opinion. Your car, your style.

Nice nice....I'm a fan of blings as well. What glue did u used to stick em? My experience is never use super glue as they stain the crystals n the designated area of yer ride...

I started this same project and I found out the hard way JB WELD is not the proper glue! It is way to think and you loose the contour of the bevels. I would also like to know what glue you used.

This is the type of glue I'm using. Press a little amount from each and mix the 2 evenly together. Its crystal clear and it takes about 3 mins to dry unlike super glue. Because of its rather thick density, u may not apply the crystals directly at the glue. What you have to do is to use a toothpick or any hard plastic materials and apply the glue at the area u want to stick on. Only after that, u then place the crystals at the designated area. Hint: This glue are normally used for jewellery...you may find them at the hardware shop.

I just used professioanl contact cement and it holds very well. dries relatively clear, holds strong.

might have to pick up more crystals to do the bevel L, but I'm also starting to think its too much. I shoulda stopped at the L and exterior bevel of the ring. I thought it looked perfect, but once u start the next section theres no turning back. :D

BUH-LING!

in the US, youd have to worry about someone cutting the front of your car off!

p.s. you should crack the headlights open and COVER the chrome surface with crystals...

Actually we hav to worry about theft here in Malaysia as well....i guess its everywhere. Its a matter of whether u r in the correct place at the specific time.....As my partner and I have already started a business dealing with some VIP products, we are now selling the the swarovski crystal as well.

zion_97 & natesiy....r your blings swarovski or other brands? Swarovski tends to have a better shine and cut as compared with those made of plastics...The differences are obvious

Slightly just under 1000 pieces. The bulk of it are size SS20 while SS16 are used to fill up odd areas.

KevinACrider, I got my crystals from my local supplier here. The one and only....The are many colors to choose from too...

YEs I agree..you get a lot of satisfaction when doing things yourself. YOu realize how hard it is and than also its easier to understand pricing on garson products.

When I first post my grill here I got mixed emotions..then I did started doing my interior and once again some liked it and some did not. Some even said it was to feminine, but they did not understand how I felt..It did not bother me what was said because I like them and felt accomplished. Plus in person it looks so different than any other car..when I go through the drivethroughs I always have many girls calling there friends and talking about my bling..I just try to pretend I am not listening when Inside I am saying yeah thats right babie VIP biiaaattccchhh..lol

only bling on my ride right now (coming off soon for paint refresh) is the DAD emblems from Garson, but the best is yet to come, I personally think it looks good and to anyone who says it looks too feminine, well all I gotta say is that I like my car too attract females not males so if you like males being attracted to your ride then that says more about you than the crystals on my ride say about me hahahahahahaha j/k :smiley-rofl:

I felt the same about the feminine thing . But I also went as far ar to use Black and chrome boa's at the shows draped over my dah and arouns my airtank and compressors. I even made a Scion chain that hangs btween the dual exhaust ports. It's always the little things. I've got numerous ?'s about the flat key caps on the doors as well. people think they are magnetic door openers.
