NextGear1's Y33 Photoshoot

I took these with a Kodak Z612 and a Kodak Z710 great cameras. Still a beginner and learning to use the Telephoto Lens and learning to set up the camera and get accustomed to a better camera. Soon will move up to a Nikon D40 or Olympus Evolt 500. Lighting became an issue but it did not rain the rain just sailed right past us.

Car is sitting on S14 springs and with some Racing Sparco NS06s and it needs some spacers that have not arrived yet. Table is all done by NextGear1, Curtains are Garsons and other than that the car is stock. Stay tuned for more....

NICE!
The rear could be a little lower but if they're springs I guess it's good for now!
What size are your curtains? Mediums huh? I have Large on mine and they look about the same just a little more sag! I have mediums that should be here any day now but I'm thinkin I might switch them for smalls!
Cars lookin nice though! I LOVE Y33s!

Curtains are mediums in the back and smalls in the front. I'll be moving the rears to the back window and replacing with smalls eventually. New suspension is on the way, I'll keep you all posted on that. It should sit very nicely based on the specs we used to develop it. The springs are a temporary fix to have it out of the sky for our show this past weekend.

Thanks for the pics Amir... they came out pretty good.

Not sure I'm gonna run aero yet. I've got a couple of things in the works but no decision yet.

thanks zion.....inspiration for me to get this thing done ASAP. May also have to reconsider my decision to stay away from the green tint. The stance is about exactly how i envision it.

bone stock......would not suggest this mod in any way. save your loot do it right. everytime i hit a bump i feel $$$$ leaving my pocket. i'm on the bump stops....car looks great but ride sucks. Again this was only to get it at the right altitude for a show this past weekend. I have real suspension on the way....it just came too late.

Thanks. I really love the car. It's funny, I've owned or own a boosted s14 zenki, a 1940 plymouth, 1964 ford truck, 1968 Impala, 1960 ford Starliner, 1969 VW bug. 1997 Q45 (before i was exposed to VIP) 1993 SC300 an FX35, and a 1993 Buick Station Wagon

.....This car is the most fun and gets the most looks. Its not nearly the fastest by far. Its probably not even the most comfortable... But the looks I get in this car really make it fun. Older people, younger people, everyone loves this car. I've been at stoplights and the 40 something lady from the suburbs on her bluetooth will look over and say to whoever she's talking to, "he's got curtains in his car" That cracks me up everytime.

I truly enjoy this car...and it'll only get better.

Yes! The curtains give off many looks! You'll even get people tryna take pics of you w/ there camera phones on the freeway! Hahahahaha! Good stuff! But I get more looks over the curtains and plates than the car being so low or the rims being so wide!

"he's got curtains in his car" That cracks me up everytime.

The best is going through a drive through. The workers either crack up or get really nervous. Same thing happens when I have to stop to pay tolls. When cops ask "why curtains?" I tell them that I use the car as a hotel room.

I tell them they are used as sunshades to keep the interior cool when parking outside. BTW, nice pics.

C4 .....i cannot recommend that anyone do this suspension mod, unless you are ready to replace your shocks, with some aftermarket stuff. I'm riding on the bumpstops wayyyyyyyyy to often. Also I used the stock height 240 springs and you can see the drop that I achieved. I can't imagine how low it would be on dropped springs. Even with a higher spring rate to compensate for the additional weight i believe the car would sit even lower and compromise your stock shocks.

BTW fwiw, I'm now driving my backup 1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon (BigWood) because I don't want to do any damage to the car. I think when I put it down It was still okay buy it really honestly is painful for me to drive it. So the wagon it'll be until my real suspension comes in. I You all may be a little surprised to see what I'll be rockin'.

Thanks for the advise. Man come to think about it, my boy is giving me his lowering springs and that might rub with my big tires. If stock is that low with you then I can only imagine mine. I have a back up car or cars. I can drive the s-10 or my lancer in case though,.
