just a little frustrated??

Im not hating on ANYones car, but is anyone else a little frustrated by the lack of "true" platforms that the States got? As I flip thru vip mags and browse awesome vip sites, I find myself going, "wait we dont have those here!". For a tuning style as creative and unique as vip is, its just rough that you have so little choices to start with. Just venting in general as I try to decide on what to buy once I sell my LS.

As a non-traditionalist, my answer would have to be "no".

Unless you're concerned with being Vip in the strictest definition, you have lots of options when it comes to picking a ride to do up Vip style.

Well to me, its never been "I have to be vip or I'm not cool", because I've been learning about the japanese vip scene for a long time before it was of interest in the US. So to me, in order to have a good selection of parts and information, I need to stick to a true platform to satisfy my own desire. The closest thing to vip "style" that I would get into would be a Previa/Estima. It just has such a huge history that parts are no problem, and they look amazing to me.

I know the market isn't too non-platform friendly but VIPstyle isn't about how easy parts are available..... it's about execution!!! :biggthumpup:

yeah i understand what youre saying siknlow, but what i mean by parts selection, is its easier to find your own true preferences, when theres more to choose from.

and elpresidente, i guess its a no?? haha. do you actually own a jaguar, or just very interested in them?

1996 XJ6 Vanden Plas (5" stretch)  hence not the usual platform.
