Well, not necessarily for owners only but anybody with experience-first or second hand.

For those that purchased their Weds rims brand new, how long did you have to wait?

I'm sitting here and already getting a bit impatient... :D

who'd you order them from?

I didn't order... i got from viplife a while back...and he got them from japan further back. I'm going to try and convince weds to give me some sort of nice exclusivity with their lineup for the US, since i have always had faith in their stuff as being one of the top5 japanese wheel manufacturers. They've also got a pretty bad ass new "vip" brake setup out.

Weds Kranze Cerberus II here.   I bought used so can't comment on wait time.  How long have you been waiting?

When you order wheels direct brand new from companies like Weds sport, Garson, etc., they usualy take a good min. to arrive. cause they are so swampt w/ orders.. I wouldnt worry about it..

Depends who and how they are getting them............. Its hasnt taken me more the 1 month to get new wheels, and another 10 days shipped.

YEAH YEAH anyone can get anything but some just take toooooooooooooo long to get them. ???

7 months. :o

That is more than double of what I was expecting. Let's just hope Weds isn't too busy and can get me what I need by July or I'm going :uglystupid2:

Yup, I've ordered a few brand new wheels from Japan and it hasn't taken too long. My most recent one was the SL's which took 3 weeks, I have a friend that ordered another set of Work wheels from another dealer and got his in 4 months. :o

I think companies that dont have US based offices are a little harder to work with, dealing with shipping and custom work, which takes more time....unless its a stock offset that is manufactured regularily and ready to go...not custom..

jline, hre, iforge, when ordering custom offsets is close to a 3 month wait minimum 3 weeks depending on high up the food chain you are....im sure theres an explaination to that..maybe a long list of custom work they squeeze in.....add that in with your overseas shipping...makes it even longer..

Since work wheels has a u.s. based office..they can oversea the background work..also when importing parts..not everything is sent EMS..alot comin in through containers, which are schedule only every other month at most... unless you have big money to bring them in monthly..add it up and thats where all the  time comes from.....half of it is just sitting at some docks for custom to clear going out of japan and coming in to the u.s.

I think so......... the container was the hold up on the wheels. i think it was like 1 every 4-6 months on these.

jline, hre, iforged are actually based in the US, and jline and iforged are actually both the same thing... a series of companies branched off from the intro wheel company, that makes, imo, sub-par wheels that sell for an AMAZINGLY high price. They're aka moto, motoforged, intro, introforged, and various other derivatives of those

When you order non-stocked fitments from some of the bigger Japanese companies, they can take their time getting around to making them. They do try and stock some of the more common sizes (for example, if you look at Work's Euroline fitment chart, the "standard fitments" are usually in stock), but if it's a totally custom fitment, you are somewhat at the mercy of their production schedule, and that is dictated by demand and their mold rotation. But as I've mentioned in the past, it also depends on who you get the wheels from, and how much pull they can have with the company. Thanks to my friend, I was even able to get some Works made that had been discontinued a couple years, and they were even able to make wheels that had been off the market for like a decade... but it's safe to assume they won't agree to doing the same for everyone. Of course the lead time for getting these things is a little bit longer, just like having a custom fitment wheel made, but sometimes when you want what you really want, you'll wait for it...patience pays off in the end. (Well, unless you're getting dicked around by someone who takes your money and doesn't deliver on your goods for months/years and keeps giving you weak excuses... then patience is not good.)
