VIP Celsior

Hey all, just thought i should introduce myself with my first post. 
I'm from Oz and i bought this VIP ride around 2 years ago.
Its a CF with all the toys, only thing i'm annoyed about is the whole stereo system doesn't work, but that will be fixed with aftermarket stuff anyway.
Haven't modified it heaps, just a cat back exhaust, tint & height controller.
The plan has always been to get 20 inch wheels, but now i'm undecided on whether to go for the 20's (18's look to small with the kit) or get some VIP style deep dish 18's.

Nice ride... I say go for 19s; standard formula: 9" fronts 10" rears with around +20 offset. Not too far out side the guards as far as police are concerned, and it would compliment the kit nicely.
 
20s that can be bought from typical tyre shops in Australia would be sunken in and wouldnt suit the style of the kit IMO....

nice buy, definitely 20 for this baby, btw get some clear head lights, that really bring out the clean look :runcoold:

The only time i recommend 20s is if the car is an LS430 or larger, or if the person is willing to raise their fender arches. Otherwise 20s are just a lame excuse to avoid going low...

Naw, 20s were my attempt to upgrade on better offsets and new tires for really cheap!
I LOVE MY 20s but my next wheels will probably be 19s!

Dominik, you sure about those off-sets??? I've been led to believe that wheels with those off-sets wouldn't fit under the standard guards. I mean i plan to have them rolled a bit anyway, and have stretched tyres but +20? I'd probably need some mad camber for that wouldn't i!!!

Let me guess, you have been speaking with local tyre shops??
 
Have a search around these forums to see what other guys with UCF10s and 11s are doing with their cars.  +20 to +25 is the maximum offset you want to run to get a 'vip' fitment. Thats where the top of the wheel is just about even with the guards and the bottom is 'slightly' out. You would be running a bit of camber (3-4 degrees), and yes, stretched tyres would be a must. 
 
Tyres are dirt cheap anyway, i laugh at people who cannot afford to replace tyres, yet spend $300+ on petrol each month
 
In the end though it would be what makes your car stand out when it is sitting next to a done up beemer or commodore. Wheels appear larger when they are closer to the fender, hence why i am happy with 18s
