As far as USA standards I'd say Kei Car since in Japan is stands for the smallest class of cars which in the US that just happens to be pretty true. I mean it's not in that category in Japan, but for our sake and to make it easier...just say Kei Car...because it's certainly not a Wagon. It's a Small Compact.
It's a sub-compact. Kei has limits on displacement and dimensions that the iST doesn't fall within.
Yeah, i find it funny when people call their Echo/Yaris/Fit/Jazz/bB etc a 'Kei car' since kei cars are restricted to 660cc, 47kw and exterior dimensions that are more suited to a moped. Seriously, parking any of those cars next to a real kei car is like parking an F250 next to a Protege (sorry firelizard ;)) Funny enough, the wagon magazines of Japan seem to accept most of the hatchbacks and kei cars into their 'realm' so i would lean towards 'wagon' if i had to choose
Yeah as I go thru my stylewagons magazine i seem to find more IST...so we can keep it under wagon??? what you think Dominik

That category sounds right. I never really look through Stylewagon so I hadn't known they put them in there. I guess they consider it a wagon.
Wagon it is a very tiny one...
well we can all be happy on a tiny wagon.....
