Canon EOS Digital Rebel ds6041
Need some tips on using this camera for Sporting events.
Borrowed it from a friend while I am in Japan to take some nice photos. But I have no clue how to use it. I am familiar with some photo shooting aspects just not how to use this camera. I would like to get the best out of it.
Only have the 18-55 EFS Lens and a Circular Polarizing 58mm Cap.
Anybody have any good links for this camera?
The Manual mode seems to be the best option for manual adustments but not sure how to adjust Exposure settings / shutter speeds. Also does this camera have any Anti-blur options? Like shooting night time shots with out a tripod.

These pics were night shots but blurry. I had it set to Flash off mode.
Tried using Green, Night Scene and M modes but to no avail. M Mode may be my best option since it's easier to control shuter speed and exposure.

If your shooting sports the higher the shutter speed the more likely you will get a still picture of your subject and background, or you can lower the shutter speed and give it a motion blur effect. (not sure what kind of sports) and its a good thing to have your ISO to 1k (night) or more given that it will give you a noisy picture quality. Practice panning also on your subjects EI Cars, athletes etc etc. then you should be golden.
