use a razor and soapy water. if the tint isn't brittle just use the razor to lift a portion of the tint off the glass and just pull it by hand. after that use the soapy water and the razor to scrape off the glue.
you can use simple green. pull a little off of a corner, then start sparying simple green as you peel of the tint. the glue and tint should come off together with simple green or you can just have a friend that is a peace officer just right it off and pay the $10 fine and you can just keep the tint there
just yank it slowly, spray it with soapy water and scrape off glue with new sharp stainless blades. you can try the simple green method but that only works with some tints, and that method works better in the sun. so try the simple green way, and whatever is left you can just scrape with soapy water and blades. if the tint is brittle you'll be there for a while unless you have the proper tools. a shop should do it for around $20

thanks antbo. yeah I'm just gonna remove it. I don't want to take any chances getting pulled over again. I have allways used a heat gun to heat up the window..then pulled a corner off and slowly using a spray bottle with soapy water while I was lifting the tint off..The heat loosens up the glue on the ting so it wont stick to your window..you could also use a hair dryer.
If you spray ammonia on the tint, it crinkles up and just drops off.

so do I just douse it with windex and wait for it to crinkle up ?
If you spray ammonia on the tint, it crinkles up and just drops off.
Be careful with the razor and not gouge your window. I've seen it happen many times..JUst pull the tint off slowly so the glue wont stick to the window badly as everyone else mentioned. I never did hear about the ammonia method but I guess it works. goodluck!!
so do I just douse it with windex and wait for it to crinkle up ?
I don't think Windex has ammonia, and if it does, it's probably not much. I used straight ammonia when I pulled the god-awful mirror tint off of my Y33 a few weekends ago, and off of my Altima a while ago.
i wouldnt recomend the ammonia. you want to use the least ammount of chemicals on your car, letting it sit, dang you know what the could do to your interior if it got on there and left on for a while. if you are really worried take it to a pro. $20 and 15 minutes youre done.
ya I'm just gonna take it to tint shop, 10 bucks for both front window tint removal. the simple green is already costing me 5 bucks.
