Y33 JDM signal lamp socket!!!!!!
hey, eveyone that has a Y33 with the JDM headlight conversions. i have a 97 Q and im almost done putting it together, but i ran into a snag. the signal lamp socket doesnt fit in the JDM headlamp. did you guys use the USDM socket for the 99-01??? if so, was it touring or without touring?? let me know what you guys did, im stump. unless i order that specific part from japan.

not familiar with it, but your best bet is to cut bypass the socket and just crimp the corresponding wires together. It's the same thing.

hmmmm...i see what you mean. but the thing is that the socket and the harness is seperate. then the bulb plugs into the socket. the bulb has no prongs to attach to. i dont know what bulb to use

So is it the wrong bulb?
I think usdm is dual filament and the JDM ones are signal filament. Its vague but thats all I can think of. Let us know what you find out.

You need the Cima corner bulb sockets since the bulbs used are for the Cima corners are 7440's.

I wanna say the usdm won't, but honestly I haven't tried them. I was fortunate to receive my headlights with the correct sockets. Maybe a local Autozone or AdvanceAuto may have some generic sockets that are tabbed with the same pattern, or even find some that are close enough to maybe sand one of the tabs down to at least get one tab to lock in place. The rear taillight bulb sockets are 7440's, maybe one of those may have the same fitment or close enough to modify to make fit, if you were to find a spare from a junkyard or something.
