What kind of camera are you using? Pics are cool but alos a little blurry. Unless you have IS or VR I would say deff use a tripod you will see how much nicer those same shots will be. After all my research I have found that cameras with built in image stabiler/ vibration reduction dont work as well as when the lense actually has that option.

I'm using a canon rebel xt . I did have a tripod but I'm thinking maybe the camera wasnt tight against the tripod and when I hit the button maybe it moved a bit. I really cant figure out why some are sharp and some are blurry. Gonna have to practice more cause there were tons of pics I had to scrap. I had just bought a few days ago , so this was my first night shoot with it.

yeah it takes a bit to get use to..are you shooting in manual or auto? are you using flash or no flash?
here is a few pointers for you.
When using your tripod..use a timer so the camera is complety still. Did your camera come with a cap that covers the view finder? IF so use it when taking night shots. What happens is light comes in through there if your not looking through it and will cause blur..
When I take night shots usually I will take a few pics of the subject one I like the angle and position and settings. I then will put the cap on the view finder and step back and let the camera do its job..
Just a few pointers. I have a lense that has has VR on it and I have been able to get away with not needing a tripod all the time. When we go on vacation I dont want to lug a tripod around in Disneland so thats why I bought a better lense..
Also Lenses matter alot. Some are sharper than others thats why they cost more..better Nikon uses glass lense not plastic like some other brands out there.
If you got the kit lense its probably a 18-55 right..These are awsom lenses for wide angle and close ups but other than that they dont really bring out the full pottential of the camera.
hope some of this helped
This shot was taken without any use of a tripod. I used a 55-200 with VR...

Some nice cars! I especially like the dumpe blue Acura..can't wait to see what it's gonna roll on.
Tripods make even low end cameras take decent photos, like Zion I use the 2 sec timer to make sure I'm not touching the camera and making it shake when I take the photo.

Yeah I heard that my next lens should be the 55-200. I currently have the 18-55 that comes with the kit. I'm gonna learn this one first then move up.

The TL on airrunners we are going to throw some 19x10's in the rear. We are looking at some AME that High Society ViP has suggested. I'll post some pics of the test fits.

Yeah, sorry about that, I guess I was kinda vague on the comment.. I gave him that advice yesterday, cuz it even makes nice shots for me with a point and shoot.
