Has anyone does something like this? Alot of Limo's have it and it's a nice touch. Would fiber optics be the way to do that?
hmm this is an interesting idea. I was talking to a guy who put them in his custom bed frames and he used fiber optics. He said the kit was sold online somewhere. They looked sweet and the slight fade in and out of a few of the stars made it pretty cool.
I've found an online source that sells the fibers specifically for starfields and it is very cheap. You just stick the fibers through the headliner and route it all to a light source. I don't know how they make individual lights fade and what not.
I've seen a few cars in past VIP mags with mods like that..some tasteful, some gaudy. So I guess it's just all on how you execute it.
