how noisy is AirRunner compressor noise ?
is it just as noisy as all other ?
Since airrunner seems to put more emphasis on functionality and class, did they take any time to minimize compressor noise ? I don't want my trunk sounding like a lawnmower.

You can still hear the compressor when the trucks closed and it's louder when the trucks open! It's not as quite as most would think but it's something you can get used to. Inside you can hear it buzzing, but at least you can hear it working and when it's done! I upgraded to a Viar compressor and it's way quiter and faster! I barely hear it at all and that's even w/ my music off! hahaha!

Nice ..
I have two Az compressors and those are the fastest on the market ... but they are loud too ... just purchased dynomate to muffle the noise !
When the car is off ... I know I can hear it from like 10 feet ... some people might think i have a bomb in my car...lol
what compressors come with airrunner ?

Also depends on how you mount them...don't forget about that.

all my homies and minitrucker enthusiasts always recommended Air Zenith compressors but they cost a grip! i think they're 300 a peice but the fill ups are fast especially with 2-3 on a 5 gallon tank.
right now i have dual 380c's from the UAS kit and they take about 2-3 minutes from empty to fill up. i wonder how much time does the airrunner compressor fills up.
i know it's not related to this topic. but i was wondering where i can find those t- valves for the airlines so i can switch em out from the cheap ones i got from the kit?

I paid about $300 for my Viair 460C! Well worth every penny!
I have a 5 gallon tank and it takes 2min to fill the whole tank and you can barley hear a thing!
The Firstone that comes w/ Airrunner took about 5 min. to fill a 5 gallon and can be heard from maybe a foot or so away! Not bad at all! IMO! but it was to slow for my taste! but I herd you can always switch to a smaller size tank to fill up faster!

That's coo, you having the fastest fill up time......
I personally just wanted it faster than what it was.
I'm not intrested in it being any faster. Just fills up the tank faster doesn't really change anything on the car ya know!

Right. Mine are very loud, you can hear them from a good 10 feet away outside the car. Most people think its bass from my imaginary subs. I have my Vlair compressors on Bare metal, I will eventually get some sound deadening to take care of the noise.

the AZ compressors draw out 38-40 amps
each and a two viar 380 draws 23-25 amps combined. you might have to upgrade your alternator or something to have them work. i heard the newer model AZ compressors are a lot faster and don't heat up too much. 300 a peice for the compressors but i'd look into dual viar 480s since they fill up about the same and don't use a lot of amps.

I had 2 450 viairs in my spare tire well in my ls400 and I could barely hear them. I would sometimes only use one and it was super quiet. noticeable but very quiet.

my friend with the black accord wagon, i mounted his on the exterior of the car, driverside, right behind the side of the rear bumper. there was enough room. its an AZ compressor. we laid down a layer of dynomat where the compressor mounted and anywhere around it. bolted it down with some heavy grade nuts and bolts and tried it out. cant hardly hear it from out side, and absolutely nothing inside. fills the 5 gal tank from 110psi to 145psi in about 1.5mins.
not to get side tracked but if any of you guys are crazy enough there is this thing called and engine driven compressor. its an A/C compressor modified to pump air. AZ pumps out 2.85 cfm's, an EDC pumps 9.1 cfm at 3000rpms.... i got 4-5gal tanks under the bed of my truck and my EDC pumps it from 145-200psi in less than 2mins, at idle. less than that at 3000rps.... makes like a owl sound, very very fast over and over. but you woundnt even notice it unless you were told that was the sound... but, where the hell would you make room to mount it in the engine bay...? oh nevermind.
