Yahoo Auction Japan
How do you order there? I know you make an account, bid, etc. But some people don't ship out of the country and communication is a big factor. I came across this site- www.mailorderjapan.com . They help you out with yahoo auctions. I might consider using them to get some parts from the auctions. Is it good or should I just hit up google translator and try to order myself? Has anyone bought anything off of Yahoo Auction Japan?

99.9% of sellers have a statement saying "will not ship overseas". The 0.1% that do are actually shipping the items from China/HK.
To sign up and 'bid' you need a premium account that costs 300yen/month. Thats fine and all, but they ONLY accept Japanese credit cards.
Of course, nobody uses paypal so the only way to pay them is to go to a Japanese bank and make a deposit to their account.
Lastly, after winning the auction, expect an email in Japanese in order to continue the transaction; its not all automatic like Ebay.
In short, dont even think about trying it yourself unless you live in Japan or know someone who does!
