Hi from the Philippines!
Hello! Gilbert here from Manila, Philippines. I recently picked up a '92 Toyota Corona GL (ST-171 body; 3s-FC, 2.0L, inline-4, carbed motor) as a daily driver and am slowly getting it fixed up. Anyway, just thought I'd drop a "Hi & hello" to everyone here at VIPStyleCars!
Hope I'm welcome here! :3gears:

Hey! Thanks for the welcome.
I just got the car about a month ago and am just starting to correct the mistakes the previous owner did to the car. When I got it it was slammed to the ground... literally scraping pan at every street corner. Found out that all 4 struts were dead and the springs were cut. Total drop was around 5". Anyway, I just had the struts and springs replaced so it's all good.
I also picked up a set or relatively rare JDM SpeedStar (SSR) Alcyber wheels from a friend that had them on a Subaru Impreza. Just got the wheels back from having the lips cleaned up of all the curb rashes and they're now blinin'! Can't wait to have them mounted on the car soon.
Unfortunately, I can't go too extreme with the camber here in Manila. The roads we've got here eat tires for breakfast. Gotta compromise or I'll be buying a set of tires every month.
Thanks again for the welcome.... Mabuhay kayong lahat! (*May you all live long and prosper!)

I scour Banawe and all the surplus JDM importer's warehouses regularly and find really interesting stuff nowadays. The scene is totally different now as hi-po enines abound at nearly every street corner. Evo's, Imprezas, & Skyline engines and what not are displayed outside of nearly every other shop along Banawe in Q.C. and Evangelista St. in Makati. We've got everything from seats, consoles, steering wheels to engines, suspension, body panels and aerokits.
Oh, and if anybody needs some Nardi or Momo steering wheels, just let me know. You can say that I'm a pseudo-collector (more like a hoarder). :D
