Sqratches.

Within 48 hours of getting my Q, it got scratched three times and since then i've been noticing them popping up all over the place. has anyone else noticed that Q's are scratch magnets? know of any good remedies for surface scratches (a paint job isn't in the budget just yet).

run your fingernail through the scratch and see if it catches it. if it doesn't then it can easily be wetsanded down with 1000 grit sandpaper and buffed out with some compound. if it does catch it then it's too deep and you have to get it repainted.

When you remove all the scratches and what-not, be sure to invest in a clearbra.

Thats better then having a hater kick in ur back door :saiyancrunks: Only so much you can do when ur working the midnight shift and the car is at home but thats another story. Do you have pics of the scratches? Like what they said, if your finger nail doesnt catch, ur in good shape. Paint would be out of the question since Q's all came from the factory with pearl paint. Blending a pearl color is more challenging and alittle more expensive at most places.

i just waxed the car for the first time since i got it today and i noticed a LOT more blemishes in the paint. don't get me wrong, the paint around the scratches looks amazing after puttin on some wax (special Anniversary Edition paint is the heat). i think the best thing for me to do is get it resprayed. i have a connection that can get me a factory paint job for about $600-$800, but i want to wait until i have a body kit thrown on and i can't do that until i get rims (ain't nuthin worse than a body kit and factory rims imo). for now i will try the wet sand/compound route. i do thank you guys for your input.

it's always good to have a good clean surface before applying anything on your paint. just clay it out so you can get it smooth and fresh
