on the 2nd half of this video, he shows a pulling method using a steel tube while he drives foward. anyone try this ? [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDTK9IjKIYU[/url]
if you dont have proper alignment on each side the pipe rolling will not work...if your care with a baseball bat just for the rears...bend the tabs up with a hammer and use a bat to flatten it out....i would not recommend rolling with the pipe and rolling the vehicle..the fronts just use a hammer as he did...but be careful..one slip up and your gonna get a nice size dent in your fender...have fun:biggthumpup:

my rear quarter fender tabs are shaved, but there is about 5mm of tab left. I think it would be a better idea to shave off the 5mm excess tab and then pull. any thoughts ? if you shave it anymore and then pull it im sure the shaving will not be even and you will get a funny looking quarter panel...if you can roll it up to keep that tuck and roll look for the car then have it pulled trust me. it will look alot cleaner...plus its not safe to keep a sharp edge around your tires.

but I only have about 3mm-5mm of tab left, hardly enought to roll up and pull. will that 3-5mm roll up ? im you are gently enough yes...try a baseball bat...jack the rear of the car up...remove the wheel and bash it up at an angle...then smash it back...im sure you have enough to do that...i would honestly try that first...then in worste case shave it off...because your shaving will not be clean nor will it be safe for your tires. you want to keep that factory tuck and roll on the edge of the quarter panel.
that was more rolling than pulling
I just paid the price for a roller from Eastwood, came with a Heat gun also
i know a dude in L.A. witha fender roller.. he quote me 25$ a fender... so ima just let him roll it once i get the susepsnion and wheels :) i would prefer the hammer technique that he used.. a nice rolled end looks better. and should keep the fender mroe ridged.

Lol, I actually had that video as a tutorial on rolling my fenders when I had the rl. I used an aluminum baseball bat while my friend was in the car rolling forward and reversing slowly. Worked like a charm and my lips were flat. I'm not sure with only that much left if you can roll it.

I wouldnt be as rough as the video, there are lots of people that have fender rollers, and I'd rather have it done the proper way. But then again, there are some people who roll fenders with the proper tool, and they suck
if any1 local is intrested i own a fender rolling machine(Bolt on) that works really good most shops charge $45+ per fender i charge $30 to rent the machine for the weekend($200 Deposit) or $20 a fender this is the most efficient way to roll/flare fenders evenly!!! to do it right be prepared to spend 30-60min per fender rental also comes iwth adjustable heat gun!!! is this against the rules??
i think you shudlnt be a cheap ass and buy a fender roller off ebay like i did
