grrrrrrrrr, not looking to buy, just looking for info dude. if you dont have any, you dont need to reply. and quite frankly i dont care if its harder to find susp for a q whatever number it was that you have. maybe you should post a thread in the WTB section for susp.

I hear megan makes coils for the 1x but I hear the quality build on those are not up to par with JIC.

you can get JIC"s from dealers in the US. MEGAN only has a line for the 2g ucf2x.

heres a site for the jic's

I have the JIC FLT-A2 VIP setup on my UCF11. I'm satisfied with the setup. Although there isn't much available for Celsior that is rebuildable stateside.

Good-Great quality, 15 way adj., I'm happy with them.

sick set up, u typed jiN but i assume u meant JIC. those were pretty much the only coilover setup i heard of as well. my ls doesnt have the stock air susp and i dont feel like doing everything i would need to run bags. also coils are just more my style, coming from the "import" scene. i just tell everyone that tells me to go bags that i dont need to raise it, straight slammed 24/7. haha. the only thing i was worried about was that i wouldnt be able to lower it enough with a coilover setup for the stance i want, but damn, thats pretty slammed. good enough for me.

megans line was actually manufactured for the ucf10, but for some reason they put it as ucf20/21. my friend has the first set they manufactured on his 90. they're actually really nice coilovers, about the same level of smoothness as the JIC SF-1's i have on my ucf10. flt-a2's are very nice though.

What SF-1's?? There is no current SF-1 under the JIC lineup. Only setup for the UCF10/11 is the FLT-A2.

like others werr saying if its too hard to get jic or jin coilovers megan racing has a set for your car...i ran coilovers on my s13 and im also gonna be running megan racing coilovers on my g50. They are great quality coilovers and easy on the wallet...you will be able to get down as low as you want no worries...from my understanding and research megan does NOT produce there coilovers...they buy them from a company who strictly manufactures suspension components..not exhausts and shitty turbo manis.

will the megan coilovers go really low ?

are they two way full tap ?

for the price and if they are two way full tap, I'd say go for the megans.

There is still hope. I'm so glad there are people that focus on quality instead of price. I'm guessing you aren't a band wagon guy and have been in the scene for a while.

To get back on topic...

SF-1 were replaced by FLT-A1 (IIRC).

JIC is great...won't be able to rebuild stateside, that is true.

I'd recommend JIC, just because they are easiest to get.

yeah, not sure about going megan. money is sort of an issue though as im not working right now, just being a lazy bum. but i dont wanna regret it later if im not happy with the feel. etc of the megans. i like the drop the sf-1s give from looking at prajehcs car, but dont know if i will be able to find a set. so right now it looks like jics. but if i dont get a set before i go back to japan i will prolly look around there for a used set at an autobacs or something. or if i save up enough a nice brand new set. thanks for all your info everyone

so you'd rather get a set of used JIC sf-1 then get a set of new Megans ?

do u know how long the SF-1's have been out for ? I believe they were dis-continued 3 years ago. This means the sets available for used are at least 3-6 years old. The SF-1's also don't have full tap adjustable strut body.

choose wisely.

well. the pic on the megan website shows a ucf10 with their coils, not a ucf20, even though they say ucf20 in their application.
i really have to say that im' leaning towards these just because they are readily available. price really isn't the issue, it's that i can actually order these things and have them show up in a couple weeks at most.
i'd prefer a japanese brand, but the lack of choices and availablity issues turn me off. i'm not a patient guy! when i'm ready to buy something, i want it NOW! besides, nobody can see what's underneath anyway. as long as the stance and ride is right, i'll be happy.

that ucf10 on the megan site is smallwonder809's car. the coilovers were made for the ucf10, smallwonder's car has the prototypes. i dont know why they decided to put them up with ucf20 for the application. they work fine, and ride very nicely. they go just as low as the JIC's, if not lower. both brands of coilovers can put the frame under the ground. if you buy JIC FLT-A2's, they ride EXTREMELY smooth even low, where the megans and the SF-1's get a little bumpy when you go as low as me or smallwonder. the megans are really nice though, i would name them the best bang for your buck.
