What the hell...?
So how hard does it have to be to get a decent set of rims for a decent price. i'd love to get some Varianza's...but that's not quite in the budget. :( anybody have any inside info on how to get some 19"s?

not to burst your bubble, but vip styling isnt exactly cheap. yeah you can get used wheels. but more than likely its not going to be the offsets, dish, hub design, etc that youre looking for. or it can work, but not exactly what youre looking for. so save up the money, and get some brand spanking new shoes. btw, varianza line isnt an old enough lineup to have tons of them used on the 2nd ownership. goodluck

ps, there is a groupbuy for varianza on Clublexus.com
and one here local on VSC

i have no delusions that VIP isn't cheap. that's actually what i like about it...there will be very few people go from Honda Civic to VIP in a hurry. i plan on saving until i either have enough for the Varianza's or for something used that will look hot. i'm patient, i'll find something, i just don't want people thinking that i was the one curbing the sh*t out of the stock rims and not the previous owner. i gotta rep, yo.
ok, no i don't.

keep an eye on the vendors section. like buying used, they might not be the perfect fit, but at least they're new.

Or buy used and fix up the lips before you fit them
OT, but is your nick supposed to read "Jeikabu wa bakamono desu"?

the varianza line is already a very affordable 2 piece wheel with optional custom offset and finish, other vip wheel probably cost more.

i have no idea if it's correct, but my friend who speaks Japanese fluently translated it for me so i can only go by what she says. i suppose i could watch all the Tomei movies again and see if i can pick it up myself. i'd like to learn to speak Japanese myself...but i have nowhere enough time for that. :dunno:

they are farily inexpensive compared to some others i have my eyes on and are probably a more realistic buy, but saving for them is going to cut into my t-shirt and shoe fetish (not like i don't have enough of them already anyways). i'll keep looking for deals though.
