Nosebleeds.

I've been looking around all day at threads about what kind of stretch to put on rims and i've got an idea on what i'll be going with, but what i'd like to know what kind of gap in the wheel wells i'd be looking at with 19" rims on a Y33.  would it look o.k. with a moderate stretch, or would i need to be submitting pics to Donk for a feature?  I plan on getting some spring for it quickish, but i'd lke to know if you guys have put big rims on a Q with stock suspension.  any ideas?

u forgot to mention what size and offset, etc....

LOL at the pics pancakes posted.  This forum really changed the way I veiw cars now.  When ever someone hypes up someone elses car because they got some nice lowenharts, Maya's or something expensive im the first to "hate" and point out the huge fender gap.
 
Back to the topic.  You wont need to stretch if your on springs.  You shouldnt rub unless your wheels are poking.  If you do, just get your fenders rolled or cut.

all I can suggest is to do it right the first time.

there's so much involved with vip style, and not everyone is cut out for it. You have to have a goal in mind, you have to have a vision.

anyone can go to the store and buy wheels and tires. You get generic everything. The sad thing is, even when you buy USDM expensive wheels, you still get lousy fitment and most of the time, you get lousy lip.

see...that white Q is what prompted me to ask the question.  i don't really want to spend about $3000 on rims and tires to have it look like im from the durrty (no offense to the guy with the white Q or anyone from the durrty).  

i'm not gonna skimp on the rims and am getting 19" Varianza D3S', 19x9 +24 in the front and 19x10 +24 in the rear.  the roads in the DC area are fairly unforgiving so i need to choose my set-up wisely.

i really need to get ahold of Benji being as he is in my area and seems to be the man (seeing his car on vipgarageonline.com kinda prompted me to catch the VIP bug).

You could do alot more aggressive on the Q as far as stance and offset! Especially if you like Benji's ride! :smiley: 
 
Don't worry about the Qs I posted! The first one was of me while I was waiting for airrunner and the white one is C4President's which is now slammed!!! :smiley:

but why stretch if your riding stock? a bigger tire would help you fill the gap. puttin the buggy in front of the horse, or however it goes.

it may fill the gap a bit more, but because there is a bigger diameter in general it will raise the car up a bit too.  that's what happened when i upgraded from 15's to 16's on my 240.  it looked weird even though the size of the new wheels and tires were the same as the 15's with wheels and tires.  it wasn't until the 2" drop that it looked propper.  sooo, i'll be doing the drop before putting the rims on.  :smiley:
