first of all, let me say that i think soulja boy makes some truly weak shit. all of his beats are flimsy and unimaginative, the lyrics are pretty infantile and his voice drives me Fxcking bonkers. :(

I met Tavis Barker wayyyy back in High School at a Taco Bell, he used to preform at the teen center up here when he was first starting w/ Blink 182! Chill ass cat! One of the realist dudes you'll ever meet! :biggthumpup:

Travis has mad talent, i'll give him that...but when you start with garbage, the end result is generally garbage as well.  slightly less smelly garbage though i s'pose.

That song definitely has 1000x more energy than it had before.  I never knew Travis Barker was that good.  I thought he was just some drummer who had a hot wife.  :biggthumpup:

Sorry to be negative, but what he is doing is relatively simple, just played really hard.  Had people not known it was Travis or seen the video, this wouldn't have gotten such a positive reaction.

Anyway, I agree with whoever said Souljah Boy is garbage. Secondly, Travis is technically one of the most skilled drummers out there in the mainstream right now. This vid comes nowhere near demonstrating the extent of his skills.

Travis is sick as hell, but this really doesn't show his true talent outside of some creativity in making it work very well.  Still sick though!!

i just found out about this guy a couple days ago.  he did one hell of a job turning that song into something worth listening to.
