Since no one helped already I'll add. Its a 235/35/19 on a 11.5' wheel.
At that size, the entire lip and the barrel is exposed

I think the most common rim size on the forum is 9.5 (f) 10.5 (r). Sorry man. Some people may come around but don't hold your breath. I think there is a best tires to stretch section somewhere else on the forum.

Everyone has their preference for tires.
widebodyQ that is nuts! 235 on 11.5 What tire brand is it? What brand and size on the front?
I like the ST115 but are now discontinued. Still some old stock available if you look around.

Yes thats my front wheel. Its a Hankook 104 tire. Sorry no more pics, I dont have any close ups
of my front tires and I cant take any since I dont have my car. They stripped my block to redo
the roads so I left it at the body shop until they finish with the road work.

would 225/35/19 be more suitable on a 9" wheel? and 245/23/19 on a 11"???

it really depends on the tire choice. 225/35/19 ST115 on 19x9.5 was hardcore, 225/35/19 FK452 on 9.5 would not be that crazy. I also had ST115on 225/35/19 on 19x9 and it was a nice stretch.
215 is pretty small diamater so most people here don't run that. The rear I'm not sure. I am still trying to understand how widebody k fit 235 on 11.5 !! I had 275/30/19 T1S on 11.5 and it was a nice stretch.

I agree with AME it all comes down to what tire you are running. I am running 18x9 on 225/40/18 and 18x10 on a 235/40/18 with the older Flaken Ziex model. I got a pretty good stretch out of it. I notice the new FK452 don't stretch as much.

Thats the thing, stretching a 35 series and 30 series are two different things.
Im using a 235/35 on my 11.5 I might even be able to do a 225/35 on the front but there is no need, that would just be stupid to risk damaging my wheels for no reason when I have the clearance that I need. There is no way that a 235/30 would work since there is less sidewall to stretch. The lowest I was able to go on my 12' was 265/30/19 and thats really extreme
Here is one of my 265/30/19 Nakang tires on my 19x12 rear that lasted like 4 hours

ZIEX512 also stretch nice. Also discontinued and replaced with 329 :( Square sidewall.
4 hrs! hardcore. What size/brand are you running on the 12 now? I can't find any 235 ST115 so I'm probably looking at Nankang or Federal.

Im still running a 265/30 on one side and a 275/30 on the other. My fenders are not pulled equally on each side, one has a few less mm clearance so I need to continue to use the 265/30 on that side.
Nankangs are good tires. I dont let that one tire change my mind. The guy who mounted the tire is to blame for that one. Last time I checked Federal didnt have the sizes that I wanted but im dying to give them a shot on my 18's since Grant gave them a good review.

265/35 would be extreme for a 12' under most peoples standards on this forum let alone 265/30. I kind
of explained a few posts before this one but ill do it again. Nankangs are great tires for stretching.
The fact that I was doing such an extreme stretch left no margin for error for the tire mounter. I have
to blame that tire on the person who mounted it since I am currently running a 265/30/19 Nankang tire with no issues.
Bottom line, if you don't need to go that extreme then dont do it or your tires will tear apart like
that in no time. Dont do it for the look, do it cause you have to. Its not fun swerving
when your tire ripes apart on the highway.
Thats the thing, stretching a 35 series and 30 series are two different things.
Less sidewall to stretch means more extreme stretch

I don't understand how you can blame the mounter when you are well aware of how much you're stretching the tires.

Yes the tire was too small but I was on a straight away when this happened and it only lasted hours which is why Im guessing he put too much air. I have dealt with this brand of tire with the same size wheel and have had no problems. I didnt check the PSI when he finished so that was my fault. The sad part was when I went to get that tire put on, it was replacing another tire that ripped apart but the original tire lasted me 4 months which isnt too bad. I examined the wheel and didnt see any bends or cracks, couldnt find any.

How long have they been discontinued? I just purchased my rears and am looking to get another pair for the front. If this seems to be the case I'll just go ahead and order the fronts now.
Very nice stretch on that 11.5 wheel. I wonder if its even safe to take a couple hard turns. Looking very good though.

They were discontinued about 8 months ago. I purchased some in Aug 2006.
Get the ST115 while you can. There is some old stock floating around. I have been trying to find ST115 235/35/19 without any luck :( Please pm me if you know of a place that has 235!
