LOL gotta love norcal/bay area people..

so I just moved here a few months ago. the hella thing is relatively new to me.. I heard it from time to time in houston but it was mainly just the young cats tryin to act like they were from cali :p

yesterday I'm car shopping at a benz dealer. the dealer is older white guy prob mid 40's.. we get to talking and he's  like.
'yeah the new g gpt a hella sick navi unit'
I'm like.. lol?

today talking to a older black cop and  he's  like
'people drive hella fast thru here. gotta keep an eye out'

and I hear customers say it daily.
and here I was thinking it was the bayarea youth, but nope, its just the bayarea thing.

gotta love it.

There's hella and also hecka..haha.  My little bro lives in the bay.

Yeah it's a NorCal thing, go down to So-cal, and they are like WTF, you're from norcal? all because you said 'that's hellah cool' lol.

I live in socal and my friend's cousin used to come down to visit every summer. He lived in the bay area so he would say "hella" a lot. All of a sudden I started saying "hella" and I still do. haha.

I have family in San Diego, and they always say..."this is sooo bomb" or that is "soo bomb". I was in the mood for Sushi, so my cuz says "We should to this place downtown. The sushi is so bomb there." LOL I love it.

I'm not sure what I'd say we say here... probably "sweet". Everybody says "that's sweet".
 
Personally, I'm bringing back "dope", and "reckon". I reckon it'll catch on. It's pretty dope.

we use "dope" here in san diego, but white folks here use "sweet" all the dam time. i hate that expression, it sounds gay

I lived in the bay for 5 years and "hecka" used to drive me crazy! I don't like "hella" but I really hate "hecka." I used to hear, "You're hecka tall" all the f@#$ing time!!!  :madgo:

my coworker says that and its really annoying. her high pitched nasty voice doesnt help either.

Being from Fresno, we're stuck in the middle of the Bay area and SOCAL.  We say hella, sick, dude, mang, and everything else.

Todays word is "CHILL"

my lady lives in dallas right now shes from san jose...and shes picking up that "how you doing yall" god i hate that YALL....LOL....but yup growing up i thought hella was a word everyone used until i lived in chino hills for 3 years and when i said hella they looked at me like i was from mars or something.

mane what is ya'll talkin bout, that s**t is throwed. know what i'm sayin?
