Backspacing for 94 Previa
Getting ready to drop the new Previa and buy rims & tires. Having seen the official previa thread, it has tons of great pics but no tech on backspacing. I want 18's and was going to run some Lexus rims but found some other I like better. I've seen pics with the lexus rims sitting almost flush with the fender, but the rims I want have 38 offset, and heard the OE Lexus rims are a 45 offset. Does anyone know (without guessing) if these will be close to the same location? The 4x4 industry I'm in deals in inches & backspacing, not metric & offset so I'm kinda out of my element here.
While I'm at it I might as well get opinions on the wheel - the Previa is going to be the pearl green and looking into ordering an Anceltion aero kit - thinking these rims would be cool. Now to find a drop kit

Just found the offset calculator - nevermind on the replies unless you would like to voice opinion on the rims. On immediate budget its between these and 18" Lexus OE rims unless someone has something they are selling used that will work, then I'm all ears! These look like they will be just over 1/4" further outboard than the Lexus rims.

I think every other style ADR has is fugly, but these I like - especially being under $400 for 18's! I just wonnder if they will stick out too much. I still have to find a drop kit!

You'll be fine. The difference between 38 and 45 offset is only 7mm closer to the fender. Considering how sunken most factory wheels are, 7mm is nothing.

Just looking at the SC430 rim it looks
REALLY close, and if it is a 45 & the other is a 38, 7mm for some reason looks like a lot to me, but I very well could be wrong.
