Currently driving a 1988 HR31 Skyline GTS coupe. Planning on buying something a little more luxurious as a daily driver soon, Q45, Y31 Cima or UCF11 Celsior most likely.

As for the luxury upgrade you have planned, you will find that they are 3 very different cars. The Y31 is a fair bit older styled than the UCF11s, but if you still have a bit of the speed demon in you then the Y31 more likely to keep ya happy. Meaty torque, and all the turbo upgrade possibilities
But the Q45 would be my fav of that lot, but only because i havent seen anyone do one nicely in Australia yet...

Anything Y31 is mainly in my consideration as a more sporty option, as you say, and some HR31 parts compatibility is a bonus there. But, yeah the Q45 is the front running choice, they seem like a lovely car and excellent value to boot, not to mention possibly able to tow the skyline if the modification bug gets out of hand...
My plans would be fairly simple in any case, dark, slammed, loud (twin straight flutes ET style if V8) , discrete kit and fat low offset rims and stretched rubber.
