#95483My personal review for NBA 2k8 on xbox 360
All I have to say is wow. For those who think its the same as 2k7 just with updated rosters are missing out on the best basketball game ever made. I never played a game so life like.-The players have tendencies for example- Kobe is looking to shoot every play.
-Players go on streaks. If you miss a couple of shots with a player from the same area, the player will go cold from that area of the court and its hard to hit a shot from there so your forced to call a timeout or sub the player out.
-Steals are not as easy to get as in 2k7
-you cant plow through where ever you feel like it. You must go around every player which means you sometimes have to run around in circles trying to get to the person you are guarding
-You can dictate what your teammates are going to do by holding the left bumper button. You can have your player set you a screen, try to get open, post up, run around screens
-The slam dunk contest offers thousands of potential different dunk combinations that look life like.
-The computer doesnt run the same play every single time
-The teams overall varies from game to game depending on what you selected to practice on your off days.
-The francise mode is even deeper. You must plan in advance how many minutes each player is going to play and you must indicate each players role on the team. This can get some players upset and they can demand a trade if they dont feel comfortable with their role and their minutes.
Theres so much more little features that make the game so life like. Like players hi-5 each other after a point, You can stumble on the scorers desk, etc.
I cant find any flaws but the game isnt for everyone. Its much more difficult then any other nba game on the market. Also the music sucks but that doesnt matter to me since I use the music that I have saved on the hard drive. Also the dunk contest is difficult to learn but once you got it down, you will love it.
Ive been playing this for a week straight and im still hooked. Unlike other basketball games where you get bored after 2-3 games straight, ive been playing like 4-5 straight 10 minute quarter games before I take a break. I give it a 10 of 10
