08 CAMARY SE Black
not a "VIP" ride, but i just bought this new 08 CAMARY SE for my wife.
i test drove it with my wfe, and she really likes the car. i wanted her to get the LE w/leather but, she wanted a sporty model instead. its auto w/ 6 speed "selective shift" which is a cool feature, and i like it.
anyway, she gave me the "okay" (sarcasm) to buy a set of wheel for her new ride. she dosnt want it dropped. (we'll see . . . ) also, she will need tint work all around. hummm . . . blue or black tint?
i dont want to spend too much, due to my LS430 is still under construction, and i will need to allocate funds towards that.
tell me what wheels you guys think may look, and fit her ride well.
thanks guys.
im happy that shes happy.

since she doesnt want it lowered just get her some nice 20's, not expensive ones though. i think you can get them at joes in SD for a G with tires. as far as tint 20% or 15% all around will be good, no sunstrip.

sorry to thread jack but i didn't feel like putting up another thread since you brought it up already. but my friend has the same ride and he's having trouble looking for coilovers for his model.. and wheel specs for a conservative, EXE look. not too aggressive
o btw your wife picked an awesome ride. i drove my friend's and it had a good feel to it while driving, the exterior is clean and not too sporty

a lot of people like light green tint because thats what is popular in japan. there really isnt any VIP style tint, just what flows best with the vehicle. light uniform tint is always classy and what i consider VIP, like 50%-35%. plus exterior and interior colors play a big role on how your tint will look. any other info message my on your particular make and model vehicle.

most colored films are made of dye only, and tend to fade prematurely, and may even bubble. also they dont block out too much heat. i have a 50% blue that kind of looks like mercedes factory tint. oh and by the way they stopped making the benz glass blue. there is a film made by llumar called stealth, and the 50% looks good and light blue if youre into blue. however it is being discontinued so llumar is pushing it off. i wouldnt want discontinued tint cuz what happens when you need 2 windows redone?

Just a suggestion, how about the Club Linea Misterio
*Caoboy is selling a set for $600 in the FS section.

i dont want to spend too much on "her" wheels, since she probably/may ding the wheels, and i'll need to replace it quick and cheap. . . . . plus im looking for a set of FABULOUS EXPANDS for my LS430, and "POSSIBLY" getting a 460, so i needs to keep cash flo low. i know im selfish . . . . . ;P

Congrats on your recent Camry purchase. There are a few rides over at Toyotanation.com that have some nice setups.
I thought you might want to look at this Camry for some ideas:
Here's a pic of a silver Camry SE running on 20's:
I believe this Camry has these wheels/tires at 20x9 in the front, 20x10 in the back.
