3 vacuum hoses

I just notice under my strut bar that 3 vacuum hoses on the top of my throttle body where not connected. i removed the bar and reconnected the 3 small hoses. should i reset my ecu, meaning disconnect the battery and then connect it? the idle is kinda low now under 1000 rpm, like 800. should i take it to the shop in the morning. Oh and i have Fugita intake. Thanks!

i also had a check engine light. I was told by my local shop that it was check engine light and that it was an 02 sensor. But after i reconnect those 3 hoses and reset the ECU the check engine light went off. I drove 30 mins to work this morning and still no light. Did i just save myself $350 bucks, hope so. YEA!!!!

o2 sensor is no big deal, just fix it yourself. costs 146 from LEXUS. BOth are easy, you can even jumper your diagnostics harness under the dash to have the light flash and tell you the code, then check on the Club Lexus forum for a diag code reference.

There are like 4 o2 senors on the car, I think i would need a little help locating them. And figuring which one is bad. etc... I was it was as easy as when I had my turbo car. anyways,

it's not hard, if you had a turbo car, you should be able to find out which o2 sensor is dead.

that's why you check the code, iirc it'll tell you which one it is.

if it's one of the front ones (which is usually the culprit) it's either the left or the right one. both are a biatch to get to, and take some time to get out.

Get the sensor unplugged, and test it with a volt meter.

Since i checked the code myself, i bought the sensor first, checked the new one, then checked each of the sensors on the car. the one that doesnt read the same as the new one, is the one that's bad.

edit:

it may be ohms that you need to test the resistance on, and the one that reads all crazy like is the one that is messed up.

check the code first, then you'll be able to do it yourself. it's not that big of a deal, and changing isn't too bad.

bosch ones aren't a very good replacements, the originals are denso's, i'd stick with the original. had too many cars have bosch ones foul up too soon. just a word of warning.
