Re: Sentra VIP... Malaysian Style

Not sure what the reason is for the luke-warm reception from the others, but welcome!

I was just in malaysia a couple of weeks ago (great place!) and i picked up a car mag while i was there. Its worth noting that new Sentra's start at 90,000RM+ and even though that isnt so much when converted to USD or whatever, you should know that an average college grad wage is around 24,000RM/Yr in the cities

So the fact that you own one of them puts you in the big-baller category, and if its modded, then it would get the same amount of respect cruising, as a Lexus/Infiniti or Merc would get here

So please stick around and learn how to mod your car right :)

Oh! I think he means share, in the sense that we do the sharing, he does the learning :D

i guess it is a bit of a black art. Can't be talked about on regular forums for fear of offset nazi's and performance nuts, so we do our business here in the underground LOL! :D

Re: Sentra VIP... Malaysian Style

Hahaha... If you're lucky. ::)

The full work would be peeling off your tint on the spot, and a hefty fine RM1000 or so, not sure. If the men in blue is really pissed, then they will ask you to go through certification by the Road Transport Department to make sure you have undone your tints... :(

Cheers!

Re: Sentra VIP... Malaysian Style

Beats me?! :uglystupid2:  Prolly about security issue? I'm not sure...

Unless you're a real VIP or having highly sensitive skin with medical certification... Then you can have super dark tints on your ride.

Any good doctors around?

Re: Sentra VIP... Malaysian Style

Everyone i asked said it was to do with security (some people even agreed! "You could have criminals in your car, thats so dangerous!!" :idiot2: :uglystupid2:)

Its a joke though, because its so goddamn hot there that you cant park your car for more than 1 minute before you can cook a roast on your dash. Then when you drive around the aircon has to be on full blast just so you can feel a mildly cool breeze hitting you in your seat - the 60cm or so is enough to warm the air very noticeably when you have no tint.

The dodgy thing is that VIPs and politicians (the real criminals :police:) drive around in darkly tinted mercs etc...

Sorry for the rant, as you can tell, the tinting issue really got under my skin while i was there. I loved the place, but the tint laws are illogical!

:2funny:

All is not lost, though. We can have mild tints! There's a few brands dat give good heat rejection and still within the law... :smitten:
