hey whats up my VIP people?My name is Mike and I own a 97 nissan maxima.It's my first time coming on this and I look foward to getting new ideas and meeting new people. I was on other forums as nycmaxima.org and maxima.org and since i came across this site now im on here =]

I think thats becuase people are just taking their current projects and trying to convert them to VIP style instead of selling them and going with a much better platform...not trying to bash but I think that the maxima platform is not so much as popular choice of a VIP car as to the members who own them discover this forum and want to implament that into thier maximas or any other car_________ they own....

i hear u for trying to be different and all. but in the large scheme of things. vip cars are rare anyways, so you dont have to worry. doesnt matter if a lot of ppl tune ls or q or m. iits still a hella rare car.

when was the last time u say a 02-06 q or a 03-04 m?

no matter what you do with ur maxima, itll still look poor and not classy. sorry to break it to you man.

thats true if you are wanting to build a [I]vip car[/I], if you are wanting to build a [I]maxima[/I] then it doesn't apply.
 
dont worry though. i have decided on what my next (platform) car will be, and it shouldn't be too long before i cop it. business first though.

and you drive what? an acura right? say what you want about vip this or that, but when you say a maxima looks poor and classless i take that personal. first of all you're in the same boat. secondly, i can show you a long list of a32 maximas/i30s/cefiros that own your car.

Welcome. I've owned both the a32 Maxima and a32 I30 and I understand where you're coming from. Feel free to take on the vipstyle and implement it into your Maxima, but in the end please do not consider your car vip. We've seen a lot of new people try to claim almost any platform to be vip and they end up looking like vipcar posers.

THE TRUTH. when i first got into vip i tried to pick it apart and figure out why what was what, but it just is what it is. there are vip cars and there are non-vip cars. thats it. i really don't even like the term "vip style". its like calling a McRib a rib. similar... but not really. if you are wanting to fit into vip, then get a platform. if you are just wanting to build a clean a32 (acura, mazda, or kia) then theres plenty of things on this board that you can learn about to make your car better than average.
