can u elaborate your idea in a pic maybe? i dont quiet understand..i guess they would but it would be fiberglass..i think you might be thinking alittle outside the box...what is the reasoning you need to cut your fenders to that extent?

He said he wants to add fender flares and cut his fender line. that said, in his initial post, i believe he wants to either radius his fenders, or just flare them wider using flares.

You can do it with 'universal' fiberglass flares, or the better way to do it, would be to make some out of sheetmetal, and weld them on.

exactly what caoboy was talking about... that is my idea...

why? because i dont want a widebody kit...

thanks for the ideas!!! i think that would be a lot easier than trying to pull the fender to that extent...

If you are going to put flares on the car, do it right, and do it with sheet metal.

With the rear quarterpanels, you'll need to have a body shop cut and roll up the two peices of the body/panel, bang it up and out, and have it rewelded really well (basically the same way you would put a widebody rear on, except only with flares) then have the flares put on. be sure that you have a good shop do it, you wouldn't the welds to come undone and have the bodypanels come apart.

Shoot, if you want to be the coolest ls400 in the world, you could grab the junction produce premiums widebody if you could find it. It cost something like 6-10k depending on FRP or Carbon Fiber, but it is possibly the coolest kit EVER for the LS400 IMO.
