update on my ucf 20 (ame fx's)

first off, heres some pics of the amistads i had..ended up bein a little too aggressive for my taste right now..

i ended up grabbing these..AME FX's in ash metal..19x9 hi disk 19x10 low disk +15 offset all around..thanks to samson(REV-01) for the rims and Raymond (Mista808) for helping me with the fender rolling

fronts were 19x10 +11 low disk with a 13mm spacer to clear the brakes rears were 19x11 +11 low disk

I am sorry to be asking this, but I dont quite understand the meaning of low disc and high discs..

so if it was high disc you wouldnt need the spacers in the front?

I am curious if its possible to run 10" width all around for an LS...just different offsets.

disk heights are for caliper clearances. low disk is for say... rear brakes, cuz the caliper isnt that big and you dont need to clear it. high disk is for cars with BBK (big brake kits) cars like G35 w/ brembo brakes, or for like ucf20 with supra calipers...

Those AME FX's are off the chizzy on your car, makes it very unique I haven't seen anyone sporting those wheels.

yup all i did was take it to the alignment shop and ask them to max the camber while keepin the toe in range..the fronts got to 1.6 and the rears got to 5.5

For the LS....Looks nice on stock body. Please keep it that way.

So, if his original wheels were high disc in the front he wouldnt need spacer and it wouldnt stick out that much?

yep true..the specs on the fronts for my originals ended up being 19x10 -2 with the spacer i ended up having to run..we tried the amistad's on my friends ucf 10 and it fit much better w/o having to run the spacer


i plan on getting a mode parfume kit and painting the car black..

I commend you on your choice of body kit. As much as I like stock bodied LS's after having one myself it gets old after awhile, but thats just me.

95+ will not fit low disc

Do you by any chance have a picture of your friend's UCF10 with the Amistad's?

I am interested in seeing how 10's look like on the front of a UCF

im pretty sure 10's with the right offset would fit a bit better. this is with just cutting the inner lip, and flattening it with a hammer and dolly. but here it is on my car...

Hmm..so it is possible to have 10's in the front with the right offset. Nice to know actually so that if I ever get one, i will probably order either 9.5 or 10 in the front and 10 or 10.5 at the back! hehe.

Im not sure but I doubt you would. I dont really see the point in a bbk when it already has dual sided dual piston calipers. Stainless lines, good fluid, good pads and maybe slotted rotors should be more then enough, unless youre turning your LS into a race car.

That is Dave's dad's LS. And those are AME FX's. Dave drove that car to the meet. He used to own the black GS on bags (Sold, for those of you who don't know). He picked up a black S-Klasse.
