G50 Suspension Reference:

Thes are the parts that should work from other cars for the suspension

There are companies who make coilovers for the G50 but they are more expensive.
R32 GTR Coilovers (No Modding)
Z32 Coilovers (Modding required)
Subframe spacers
Part # 7.1108R. They are actually for a 90 to 96 300z,

Please add more if you know them.

Interchangeable Nissan Suspension G50

Can whoever knows what they are talking about school me and other g50 owners. I would like to setup a small thread on interchangeable suspension parts between other nissan/infiniti like coilovers, toe arms, lca, ruca, fuca, tie rods, hubs, ect. Just so we can get a fair idea as to what type of modifications we are capable of. As of now i know that we can use z32 rucas, z32 and r32 coilovers. Can we use anything else with interchangeing parts or anything like that?

there was a thread made about this like 2 years ago or so... lemme see if i can find the link

ok i give up trying.

Here's basically what will fit you may have a mod a few small things:

r32 gtr front
r32 gtr rear
r32 gts front (only)
r33 gtr front (only)
r33 gts front (only)
z32 front
z32 rear (i think u need to use a different upper mount)

As far as arms go you can use Z32/R32 stuff up front and s chassis/z32/r32 stuff in the back.

There are companies who make coilovers for the G50 but they are more expensive.
R32 GTR Coilovers (No Modding)
Z32 Coilovers (Modding required)
Subframe spacers
Part # 7.1108R. They are actually for a 90 to 96 300z,

Please add more if you know them.

When you say Coilover, you mean the shock and spring combo?

wtf...yes

Not a coilover sleeve. the full setup. Unless he is thinking like tokico with tein springs. Then no, but more like Tein HE's or HKS Hypermax's something of that nature.

i understand that is a great path to take yokota... but im trying to figure out what actual bag can be used so it does not rub on any parts of the chassis or wheels.

get lower offsets

to add to the thread:

front OEM Z32 springs, Z32 struts, Z32 upper mounts fit G50's with minor mods (strut tower bolt holes need filing and bottom bushing needs to be the G50 bushing)

Fronts only

Q45 G50 FRONT TENSION ROD INTERCHANGABLE

with: Z32 TC RODS and S13 TC RODS also....

When you change these you notice a DRASTIC change in steering wheel play. Mine handles like a dream now. One of the best upgrades i've ever done

Actually only after market TC RODS work with Q45 and if you want to replace the bushings on the TC Rods, you need to get 90-93 TC Rods then swap them out with Z32 bushings as the diameter on the 94-96 rods is bigger and the bushings will not fit well without finding a way to expand the bushings. (e.g. bigger/thicker cylinder sleeve for the tc rod bolt).

Also for Z32 coilovers since I was asked this recently.

BEST METHOD:
order replace strut/shock bushings for the front struts. and have them pressed in to the Z32 coilovers. (I drilled out the Z32 mounts until the slid on the knuckle then bolted them down. This method works but I would have done the bushing swap if I had known at the time)

Slightly drill out the holes in the strut tower until the Z32 pillow ball mount fits securely. (you want to drill and check bit by bit so you don't make too big of a hole)

Rears: you only need to swap the OEM top mount with the Z32 coilovers Top mounts. (The "pillow ball" mount)

Now the Strut shaft length is quite a bit shorter so you will almost max out the height on the front coilovers but you will have a slammed car. so required for VIP Styling :)

I haven't had issues with my tie rods.
Remember, Z32 rods will not fit unless they are aftermarket. (meaning length is adjustable)
