This project was completed in late June but I've been terribly busy with Air Force stuff. Also got a new toy, the Garmin Nuvi. Sorry for the quality they are cell phone pics. Hope you like! Comments are welcome!

G50 lights > bmw lights all day, but props for the attempt.

wow... looks like it was a pretty close fit to start with! Not a huge fan of the hood fitment (maybe it flows better in person), but mad props for doing it! Very 'jdm vip style' to mold parts from euro luxury cars onto your car :)
I am in the middle of my own retrofit, but i will be using my OEM headlights with Audi projectors

I think you need to extend the hood a little more to cover the top, like weld on a lil bit of metal to cover it, and it will look fine. with a new bumper, fiberglassing it to fill in the gaps, it should be ok. good luck.

I'm not trying to be mean, but please convert it back. It was a worthy attempt and I can see what you were going for, it's just that those headlights IMO aren't really worthy of that conversion. I would think you may have had a better shot at opening the housing and installing the aftrmkt angel eye kit.

thanks for all the comments! Originally I would have liked to get oem 5 series lights but I needed those cheap ones to see how it would look before I got $1000 headlights. I def agree about extending the hood to match or painting eyelids on the lights. I got the idea from a picture of a G50 I saw from Japan that had BMW looking lights so I wanted to try for myself. Heres the car I'm talking about...

Wow that looks good, if you can do that then I will most certainly retract my previous stmt.

Yeah, not to rain on your parade, but without extending the hood properly, it doesn't work at all.

Maybe if you could open them up and black out the housing. I never really like the look of all clear blingy headlights on older vehicles.

not worth it, they are so cheaply made I would rather buy oem bmw lights that actually look good in the first place.
