Still working on perfecting the ride, but here it is so far. People don't give these old Audi's enough credit! 8)
I'm loving the cars on this forum!

Re: Just another VIP audi in PDX.

Um, not really VIP, but welcome. We have a few Euro guys here, and a few Euro guys who have started to build a VIPcar too. You will see that there are alot of correlations betweeo the two styles. Wide wheels, fender work, streched tires, and low ride heights.

Re: Just another VIP audi in PDX.

Perhaps that is the case. I know it needs to be a LOT lower...and will be soon. The 18's are staggered, 9" in back and 8"" in front. It's getting a 3" mandrel bent downpipe back exhaust in the next month, then lots more boost. So exactly what IS the definition of VIP style? Is there a FAQ on here that I missed? please pardon my n00bness... :uglystupid2:

Yeah, there are some FAQ's. And now I will get nit-picky... but HP Evos are DEFINITLY not a good way to start trying to pull off the VIP look on a car thats fairly far away from the current look of VIP Cars. You will come to find that this forum appriciates the time, work, and money that goes into our rides. We tend to frown down upon knock off wheels / cheap wheels / poor quality wheels. We are about originality, exclusivity, and presence. That being said, I hope you enjoy your Audi, and I hope you are able to learn something from this forum.

Re: Just another VIP audi in PDX.

hmm...yeah...different priorities I guess. The wheels were too good a good deal to pass up and they'll do till the car meets my performance targets. I want to switch it to EFI and get a water-air intercooler among other things.... I do definitely want to try and adapt air suspension to it. Airride has some newer stuff that works on cars with struts finally so I'm looking into that...much custom fabrication ahead I'm sure. Glad I have access to a TIG welder! ;)

oh...btw...on the front page there I think he means "gaudy" not "gotti"
