Question reguarding a wheel brand

Treasureone is the brand. I have never heard of them but I like one of their wheels. The wheel says LxryHanes on it. When I quickly looked at it, I thought it said Larry Holmes, I figured he might be popular in Japan lol.:pat: 
 
The wheel looks really similiar to a Maya/Trafficstar wheel except the face dishes and has no lip.

Never heard of the brand or see it on any japs magazine. 
For sure, it will looks better without the "larryholmes" word.

i like those a lot. its "lxry hanes". i found some results on google, but no manufacturer website.

Not sure but it could be produced by Riverside co jp. Some ppl don't know it but, RS also make wheels for Maya, or @ least the actual manufacturer. If you can find a wheel that is designed exactly like it, they may also have made that wheel. Funny how we get Maya wheels but not Riverside...:shrug: BTW it almost resembles a Lorinsor..

The best part is that they're not that expensive, i'd like to see someone here rocking these

MRR HR5, Wald Portofino, Wald Dish, Stich Legzas D800...

cant really tell from the pic but it looks sunken face... i wonder how sunken in it is? nice though

i just found something interesting. the new mrr design wheel is this brand.

But I take it back, their wheel that I thought looked like a Portofino looks more like a Carlsson 1/16.

yeah i forgot about that, i was just looking around and saw their stamp on the mrr wheel.

looks like it. i figured it was a cosmic wheel, but i was looking at the detail pic cause i want to paint my hr2 black/polish and i noticed that.

MRR is right up there with 5zigen.  Don't know how high of a pedestal you have those wheels on but they are just inexpensive, heavy, cast, sunk face, china wheels...with JDM touch.  Meaning a jap guy moved the box from the pallet into the warehouse.

i don't think they're anything more than what they are, which is an affordable rebadged JDM wheel that looks good. not sure if you are implying that they are not JDM, but the hereborrani series is.

Not much is JDM anymore.  I could be wrong though.  Correct badging of most parts should be CDM or TDM (communist ...errr China Domestic Mkt or Taiwan Domestic Mkt).  

Not that it's a bad thing, but all mfr's are trying to compete in the market and it's difficult to find Japan wheel houses that will mfr a wheel at a competetive price.  Is this a fact, no, I will try to dig up facts to support my reasoning.

In any case, I think many consumers are naive about the whole JDM thing.  It might be advertised in a Jap mag, but where is it made.  Look at your Helloborrani wheel and see if it's stamped made in Japan or china.  Even that is puzzling since many foundry's in China are stamping Made in Japan on products during the mold process.

Just a little insight.  I've been in this industry for about 8 years now.  Seen a lot change since the early days.

Actually many of them are putting "Designed in Japan" or some derivative.  I've seen it many times.  Most of the JDM'age out there is not what it claims to be and most people can't afford to do it the right way anyhow..so what would you expect.  I think we're all well aware of that.

Early days of the import industry, which prob started around 93.

VIP seemed to have started around...2004 in the USA.

Yes, the designed in Japan is true.  What I am getting at I guess is the fact that people want quality, hence asking opinions on mfr's.  That is fine.  We all need to be educated on brand names and buy the good stuff the first time.

In the early days of VIP, people were rockin Work, MAE, Wed's or some true forged 3-pc wheel.  Lately, it seems as though people are getting away from it for the cheaper alternatives.  Nothing wrong with that, even I am a victim or perpetuator of it.

I think wheel looks pretty sharp for a monoblock.

well i checked the wheel and there wasn't any "made in" stamping. i just did it out of curiosities sake, i know they are not the greatest thing to ever hit 5 lugs. they will be my daily wheels. in fact, i liked these wheels for years before i joined vsc and found out the whole rebadged cosmic thing. i kept coming back to them and one day saw a good deal so i figured it was meant to be.

In other words Their the SHiT (or atleast a skid mark)

The wheels are made by a company in tawain that makes wheels for a whole bunch of companies. They are all the same quaility as MRR/Axis/EXE because they are all made at the same place. They are lightweight and high quality. MRR's are really nice. Best of all... they are pretty inexpensive.

Those will probably never be brought to the US because no one here wants "Lxryhanes" on their wheels. But if you guys didn't mind.....

I wish I could get over the lxry hanes stamp. But I guess it breaks it up and makes it look better? maybe? :shrug:

no... its lame. but i am thinking of painting those hr2 i grabbed from your roomie like this,with nissan superblack. what do you think?

I don't think it's even that legible to begin with. not a big deal to me.

Shit, I bought my MRR's a year ago and never even took the time to figure out that they had a Hereborani stamp on them:shrug:

The fact that it's not even legible makes me kind of leary of quality....

Usually with quality products the branding is at least legible, not a crude paint filled stamp.

I could be wrong, but I'm not convinced that these wheels are any better than TSW or Axis.

yeah, i don't think anybody would disagree with that. i'm guessing these are made by the same manufacturer as the cosmic (mrr) wheels, that's why they sell them both under the same series. they are not the greatest wheels but are affordable, have been accepted as vip appropriate depending on the style, and are decent in quality.

I've  seen ALOT of monoblock wheels and the MRR's are by far the nicest next to something like the monoblock JP heritage and Fabulous Genisis and whatnot.
