My new 2004 Black on Black M45/Y34: Pics and specs inside

Well, after a long search (the only one within 500 miles of me) for a black on black fully loaded Infiniti, I finally found one. It is a one (adult) owner car, from San Diego and well maintained and taken care of. It is near perfect and a wonderful platform for a VIP vision I have.

The M is literally fully loaded, Navigation, Voice recognition/activation, Intelligent cruise, Sports package, Technology package, Comfort package, dark Brazilian oak wood. Heated/cooled seats, power everything and I picked it up with 42,800 miles. It set me back $24k but it was so worth it. This car is clean with very minimal signs of use (not abuse), a few dings that can simply be removed, a few scuffs on the rear bumper (brand new front bumper cause owner didn't want a plate bracket on there). The interior is flawless (owner had a brand new driver seat put in cause it showed too much wear on it) and of course the performance and ride is fabulous...

On the way back from Cali heading back to Arizona I conducted my first kill on the highway. I rolled up next to a clean late 90's SS Camaro, Black with silver stripes. I got on it a bit and took off about 3 car lengths, figured homeboy didn't want to race. Then all of a sudden he tried a GM run on me, I saw him speed up on me at about one car length away, then I hit the throttle just as he was at my back end, he gained about a car length on me but I reeled him in at about 110mph, and walked him about four car lengths ahead of him at a speed of 140+. there was no sign of him braking or slowing down as I was passing him so I know he was on the throttle the whole time, and we were on a long straight stretch of road and nobody in front of us. It was a clear win for me, after that he just hung back up to Yuma.

Interior I would rate 10
Exterior a 9
Ride and performance a 10

Here is a teaser pic of the ride and a link to my shared Photobucket so I don't eat up bandwidth here. These pics are simple pics I took in the morning before work.

Plans for now are to, put some Work Varianza D3S 20" wheels on it. Lower it with either a coil over kit or air ride suspension, put a Junction produce wing on it. And I am looking for a simply and clean body kit, maybe just a front bumper lip, side skirts and a rear bumper lip if they even make this type of kits.
I found this following pic of the exact kit I like, but I have no idea who makes this, so if anyone does please chime in.
KIT I LOVE:

And here is a pic of what my car will look like lowered and with the wheels I want:

Also, looking for maybe (if they make them) a performance intake and performance exhaust. Nothing too loud but a clean sound. I think maybe just getting a Borla muffler and having it put on, with a nice Borla tail pipe tip too.
Any advise, questions, or comments are appreciated. Thanks and enjoy.

Good luck man. Thats a beautiful car. Its is under rated for what it is. The engine is very powerful up top, it just keeps wanting to go. I have a F50 Q45 which uses the same engine but its alittle heavier and I have taken Wrx STI's, Honda S2000's, Audi TT's, Acura TL's, RL's on the highway. No one believes me until I let them drive it. It goes to 150 effortlessly.

Thanks, and you're not kidding about that speed. I have 94 MKIV Single Turbo Supra, and I know when that thing is going fast. However this M scares me a bit, cause I'll look at the speedo and be cruising 60+ on regular streets and not even feel like it. And once you hit the throttle, this thing just begs to be driven.

Great choice! This car makes me drool everytime I see one! I can't help to just stare! SO great choice! Let us know if you have any problems w/ the electrical system. I heard this is a big flaw for this car. Which is why I didn't buy one but often regret it  340 sumthin HP is pretty nice! but try and stay off the pedal and street racing!!!!! VIP is about cruiseing and riding low at low speeds so everyone can check you out. Not wow look how fast that blur is! Where in SD did you pick this up? I know where I few are down here.

Happens to me all the time, I look down and im doing 90 on the highway but it feels like im doing 60. Gotta love Infiniti Sedans.

Theres not too many members here with your ride because its kind of rare. Kind of sucks because parts are expensive (2g's for coilovers) and finding used stuff is not very likely. On the flip side, your ride will be exclusive.

The rims in the pic you listed are not work wheels, they are trafficstars. You can get the US version which is MAYA. I forgot the exact model though.

I still have not heard of an electric problem with Y34 owners. Everything is basicially the same as the F50 and I have never had any electrical problems either. Yea VIP is about cruising but when the ride is stock, you need to enjoy it to the max

Congrats on the purchase, looks to be a perfect platform for a vip build. That generation M45 is something I've always wanted myself, I'm torn between that and the F50 Q45. Keep us posted on the upgrades and welcome to VSC.

I believe the kit you like is OEM Nissan but it is better for you to contact our vendor Mark 'actolex' He has a M45. The Mode Parfume kit pictured below would look nicer on your car or even the Junction Produce kit.

#1 Congratulations on a great car

#2 You are going to run into a LOT of jealous people here(myself included) who love this gen of the M. Once the M went the way of the G35 sedan styling-wise it was over for me. And for as muxh as you would have to put out for coilovers, you might as well just go air right away!! Yezzzur!

Nice buy! You didn't have to go far for your M45. There isn't a black on black M45 for sale in Canada so I have been looking in the US.

Maya DX2 and Trafficstar DTX are the same wheel except for the center caps and other small details. Personally I think they are much nicer than the Varianza.

Lots of potential for this car. JP, Mode Parfume, Aimgain and many more make kits for the Y34.

The Maya/Trafficstars and the work wheels are different. Look at the gaps between spokes. The Works are sharper, I perfer the Maya's though

An M45 was following me on the way back from the metro station today...I had to try not to look in the rear view and stay on the road. My next car is going to be an M45 when i get out of the army and into a job that pays well.

the D3S' are a good choice of rims. I bought me a set off of the "for sale" section of VSC and can't wait until i get some springs and the winter months are over to throw them on the Q.

Trust me, I have searched and searched. That picture of the silver Y34/M45 is the exact setup I like and want and can't find it anywhere. Someone mentioned if may be a Nissan body kit (dealer OEM), I do not know the validity to that.

Please, if any vendor here knows what kit that silver car I posted up in the beginning of my thread is, chime in please with some information as to how to get it.

Also, any vendor that can give me some info or price on some air suspension kits that would be nice. Everything I have come across is related to a Japanese web site, and although I can see the application (as they are translated pages) I can't seem to get a price on any. Some names I am looking at, The Tanabe Air kit, Skipper air kit, Bold "Mode Parfume" air kit, and Air runner kit.

Thanks in advance to anyone for any help. Trust me, I am not the noob that asks a million questions when I have a search function, however I have exhausted and flipped through page after page (thanks to the search function here at VSC) of information here and really have only extracted about 5% of the information as being useful to my particular car.
It appears the M/Y34 is pretty darn rare, which is nice I guess, but frustrating as there either appears to be no support for them, or any support for them is related to JDM spec only and I am unable to read any of the information on the Japanese websites.

Can you really call it a knock off when the Trafficstar was out before Work even debuted the Varianza line?

Sorry brother, it was literally a one day operation. I flew myself and a buddy out, we got picked up at the airport by the seller, checked out the car, and drove back the same day.

When I want something, I don't F~ around if you know what I mean.

I have two buds in SD, one in La Jolla and the other in Miramar. So I plan to cruise out every now and then to hang. I also need to get back into getting my surf on when the weather is better.

Well, after many hours of internet searching, I dug up some useful info.
The kit is an OEM Nissan kit based on an option offered in Japan, the Grand Turismo.

And along with these pics, you'll notice that it will fit on a USA spec M45, and it basically a front and rear lip / side skirt kit.

The only draw back is just getting it some how, which I have not been able to do just yet.

On another note, I am becoming more partial to a Mode Pafume body kit or Aimgain kit.
