What kit is this? (Jag xj)

See attached pic. To me it looks like the wise sports type 1 with molded orange front len's. Is that correct?

Also what size wheels/offsets are these?

I've wanted a Jag Sedan forever and after unearthing this picture from my harddrive i'd like to put together a build. Thanks!!

Yep, it's custom. Looks similar to the Auto Couture aero I'm picking up, but with different foglights and shaved corner and signal lights...odd (I assume he is using the city lights in the outer headlights as turn signals along with the fender signals). The lower front is way different than the Wise Sports V1. The grill is a stock XJR grill surround with painted mesh inserts. It's hard to tell if it's an x300 with x308 headlights, or an x308. Wheels look to be staggered 19's..we can't go too wide on width due to the way the inner fender wells are. Guess on offset might be 19x9+12 and 19x10+12. To be honest I'm pretty sure this is the same car that was featured in a J-Complete spread but with Trafficstar wheels and J-Complete aero. I think this is an old pic of that car.

What year do you think that car is? X300 is 97-03 right? It reallly looks like one of those execpt that it has chrome rings around the headlights which I also want.

You really don't think its a modded wise kit?

How close are those wheel demensions? 9x9+12 and 19x10+12? What tires would you run? 225/35 and 235/35?

I'm very interested in this project!

Did someone yank the cat off his hood? If you look closely, you can see the difference between the bottom of the wise kit and the AC kit. Looks more like AC to me

Also pres, can the newer LED tail lights fit in the older ones? I'm looking at a 2001 XJR black with a tan interior. I'm really thinking about it. I've wanted one of those things for a while and they are half the price I thought they were!

You drive an xj40..completely different animal. The X300 was from 1995-1997 (my model), the X308 was from 1998-2003. The X350 tails DO NOT fit on the X300-308's, they are an entirely different shape and dimensions.

Guys as far as the wheels, there are no magic numbers..buy the car, measure it for how you'd like it to fit, modify the fenders (which they did and you can't just guess) and whatnot for the perfect fitment. Don't just regurgitate numbers...that's not smart.

With J-Complete there's no such thing as a hook up. Otherwise they'd go out of business. Think about it...it's a Jaguar, not a civic. Hahaha...seriously, if you want J-Complete the saying still holds true...pay to play. And yes..NF.

I hope I can offer some insight. The black car in the first picture, I think, has Auto Couture aero. Auto Couture offers three different types of aero for the XJ. One is VERY similar to the Arden package, is very subtle. The other two are basically XJR model bumpers for the X300 and X308 generations, respectively, but with am Auto Couture lower lip molded into the bumper. The lower lip, if you look carefully, is clearly Auto Couture, although, as elpresidente said, there is some shaving/custom molding going on there. The side skirts are Auto Couture as well.

Personally, I regard the XJ as quintessential vip, and combined with air, camber, and wide-stance wheels, is one of the ultimate expressions of what beauty can be realized through vip style as a whole. Just look at the picture of the red XJ staring at you. Who can't argue that it's true status!

^Word. I priced out my XJ at $15k with chevy 350, air suspension, auto couture kit, paint and wheels. It's next on my list (then a 03 M45)

Stock paint in itself will almost always be orange peeled (from the factory)...but repaint in stock color with lots of expensive clear, cut and buff and you have liquid sex.
