new member

Well I have always been interested in VIP style cars and i just decided to become a member and gain some ideas from you guys.  I currently have a 2003 crystal blue nissan altima...i know its not a TRUE VIP blah blah blah but i dont care.  All that matters is that i think the altima is a great car and I want to follow a VIP inspired theme..

What do you guys think? Any mods you have on your mind that might go well with my car?

So far i just did nothing serious..simple stuff like tints..sound system..debadge..hids..mayb something else

I'm considering new grille but not sure what would be better..black mesh or chrome? i dont like too much chrome

A drop would be nice but slammed during winter = bad and im not trying to loose my ride quality

Rims are a must im thinking deep dish with a polished lip and mayb to some tail tinting idk?

I say sell it and get a better platform...you wont find VIP parts for it,,its front wheel drive so there goes any agressive offsets and its a mid size sedan.... it will end up looking DUB

well just because it doesnt have the right "platform" doesnt mean i cant improvise andnot go full out VIP but get some VIP inspired mods to do to my car

ah you should get some springs that drop the car 1.5 inches and join nico.

What Zion is trying to say is that you might end up spending lots of money and might not get the results that you want being that its FWD and all plus there really are not many parts in rquards to VIP styling for the car.  Some of the Older VIP platforms are affordable to buy, but keep in mind expensive to maintain long term.
 
What you would need to do is get your stance correct with either coilovers or air suspension.  From there, rims should come next.  DO those two and you would be ahead of the rest.

yeah i guess i just have expensive taste...

i was looking at the prices of stuff like i checked out that produce site thing and i was like...damn..mayb when i finish college and get a job ill be able to afford those things..ill be sticking with nissanclub and check out nico

i love how theres a post like this every month. "ive always been interested in vip style cars BUT i have *insert not even remotely close to vip platform*."  then they ask the question how can i make my car VIP? in the end they get the same answer which is get some nice fitting wheels and suspenion done or they tell them to get a real platform.

I think it's hands-down the most maddening thing about this site.  :signdammit:

i never said i wanted to make my car VIP...i said VIP inspired..dont hate

Its frustrating but everyone has to start somewhere.  There are members on this site who were the same way but after a while, they trade in their project car and get a real VIP platform car.

They're just helping...really is alot easier if you'd just get start off with a good platform...it really isn't that expensive to get the car it's everything aftewards that starts adding up.  I've seen plenty of rides on here with a correct platform with just nice wheels and air and looks very good.

then this site is not for you???????????????:shrug:  This is a VIP forum :slap:...what do you expect???? you guys need to do better research and read what is VIP...MOst OG's dont want to compomise the style...they want it to be done the right way or just dont do it...There is nothing wrong with that...thats exactly why there are NICO and Club lexus for those who just want a nice looking lux sstyle car and not so much VIP all the way there not as picky..
