y32 Cima owners

This is to those members on here that actually own a Cima. 
 
I'm wondering how the car rides/handles (stock) and if you daily it? How is the reliability and does it require a lot of maintenance? I'm looking for a new car for when my arm and leg heal, and so far I'm thinking of importing a '93 Cima. But since they're not quite so common here, I want an idea of what I would be getting into before going through the import process of a car I've never driven or even seen.
 
I was looking at the Celsior as well, but I really do like the look of the Cima, and would eventually be pouring money into costomizing it.

I have a Y32 Cedric, and although they are quite different (V8 vs V6, weight etc) the suspension is interchangeable. With stock height, well it drove like a luxury car. Nice and comfy. Not sure if you want performance info, but it didnt really inspire me to go and take it to a track... it was just nice.
 
Now its on coilovers and its no longer soft and comfy. But it looks much better!

wow a reply! Thanks for the info! Even though it's a different car, how is it day to day as far as reliability? Have you needed to do anything that wasn't normal maintenance (or performance mod)?
 
It will definately be a cruiser, as I plan on getting another s13 for track use. I just want something different (and comfy) when I'm not in a racing seat. I just hope Canada doesn't change its' policy on importing vehicles.

Maintenance is like most 15yr old cars. Some parts break, its certainly no Toyota though... some of the things i have replaced include the heater core (that was a bitch to do), window motor, door lock mechanism, fuel pump, battery, clutch fan, injector, power antenna...
 
Wow, i have replaced a few things havent i... I have become quite good at working out which parts are interchangeable though... which helps!

Style Boutique has one and he uses it for a daily driver. I've drove in it a few times and its pretty smooth. Maintenance I would say its on average with most Nissan cars 15 years old. typical stuff like oil filters and brakes you can get locally

are aftermarket suspension interchangeable from the Y32 to the J30? since the platform is the same im wondering if the suspension is as well

Not that i am aware of... the struts look completely different
 
Y32 is almost completely interchangeable with Y33, so you can double check with some Y33 struts but i am 99.9% sure it wont fit

thanks sorry i meant the Y32 gloria/cedric is the same platform as the J30 if that changes anything

Same chassis code, completely different cars - seen a few J30 parts on Yahoo when looking for my car...
 
As far as suspension goes, the Y32 is almost identical to a Y33 (same platform, slightly larger dimensions)
