Problem w/ '99 Q45/Y33 Fog lights!!!!

Hey guys posting for C4president asking for help and advice!
His fuse for his foglights keeps blowing out! Any reason this might be happening?
He's upgraded his headlight bulbs to 8Ks and have put those back to stock and it still did it.
He had 8K HIDs in his fogs replaced those w/ the stocks and still did it.
He went w/ a bigger fuse still did it
Everything has been put back to stock but his fuse keeps popping
 
I have yet to take a look at his car to see what could be wrong, plan on doing that when I have time hopefully this week maybe! Just wanted to ask what it could be and/or how it could be fixed!
or what I should look for when I check out his car!

you might want to check if any of the wires were melted or exposed and is touching each other or metal.

^^^^^ thats what I would suggest..When he installed them did he cross any wires or perhaps a ground wire is exposed. Have you tried a bigger fuse??its allways good when installing HID kits to add a relay/power wire straight to the battery..HID kits pull alot of power when first egniting and it may be possible that a wire got hot and melted some wire coating off the wire..thats my best guess.....GL

That's what I'm thinking, that a ground is exposed or some sort of wire error, but I haven't looked at his set-up! I have pretty much the same HID set-up for my fogs and haven't had any problems to date. He won't be going w/ HIDs for his fogs, he bought some yellow non-HID fogs that he wants to use. Yes he has tried several larger fuses.
Thanks for the help, like I said I'm cluesless until I'm able to get my hands on it and take a good look! Still open to any and all suggestions!

Don't keep throwing in a bigger fuse because you could be making the problem worse if something arcing. I'm not familar with the fog light style that he has but most places that I seem to see wire failure is inside the actual fog light itself. When does the fuse blow? Is it immediate or does it take some time? I take it he's using the factory wiring now that the HIDs are out.

Yea, I told him to stop putting in a larger fuse and if he was gonna go w/ a bigger fuse I told in to go only one more higher! The fuse blows as sonn as he turns the switch to turn them on. And yes he's using the factory wiring. I'll probably buy a bunch of fuses and look over his setup!

Ok when he installed the HID's I know you have to tap into the OEM wiring harness..and swap wires around so you can put the HID bulbs in..I would start their as maybe the wires are loose..IF he turns it on and the fuse pops that is a great incidcation that their is wiring issues..something is exposed...

That's what I'm thinkin as well!
The Hids are plug in play so the only real wiring is the bulbs, everything else plugs back up! But he's not doin the HIDs he's puttong everything back to stock and changing bulbs so most likely there a missed connection of some sort mainly the ground.....
but We'll see!

yeah seems like the gruond...hopefully you figure it out soon...I know how that is...once something minor is going on it allways feels like a bigger problem than it really is...

im just trying to figure out whats going on as well. man its like when i had the hid fogs in, the right bulb was bad and then we took it out and put the stocks in. they worked and then after a bit, the stocks stopped working. at first it was just the fuse and now it wont even flicker or nothin when i try and turn them on.

go buy some wire, you probably melted it. also, is your relay click when you go to turn on the foglights? maybe somehow you messed that up.
