I've been lurking  around for a little while, and I'd like to say everyone's rides look terrific!
 
While I'm new to the VIP styling concept, I'm no stranger to show cars.
I used to own a show car and would compete at Import Shows with a Team. 
Eventually I sold it and purchased a 2005 Jaguar X-Type.
 
While its been a terrific car, I want to give it a little more fine tuning. I'm starting to get the itch to play around with the Jaguar. I can't have it all factory *wink*
 
Mechanically its all stock. The only goodies so far are a couple woofers in the trunk, window tint, factory upgraded body kit, black leather and dark grey suede seats and carbon fiber instead of woodgrain on the inside. The woodgrain looked too oldman-ish in that car.

I've since removed the front plate 'cause it was taking away from the kit.
Theres a few other things in the works I'll post some updated pics when thats done.
 
In the meantime I hope to get to know some of you all better!

hard to find wheels that are 5x108?
especially in 19". i guess i'll go 20's.

First off, welcome.
 
You should read some of the stickies in each section to a good idea about VIP.   Its not about putting the biggest wheels on the car so with that being said, you can pull off some vip influenced styling with 17's since your car isnt that big.  Good luck

Don't worry about pleasing the rest of the crowd. work with what you can get, and what looks good to you. 

too bad you can't come to the meet, maybe next time.

There's several Japan wheel companies that make 5x108..so please don't get 20's...way too big on your chassis.

i dont think i'll go with 20's, but its even harder to find 19's that i like that come in 5x108.
i might just stick with 18's and then i wont have to buy new tires. ;)

You may still have to if you go wide enough. Don't worry about tires, worry about suspension! lol.

With an X-Type, suspension choice is easy:

actually there isn't chrome anywhere on the outside except the two exhaust tips.
 
 
just the way i like it :)

19s are borderline, and 20s are going on the huge side. unless you like DONKS.  But 8.5 wide is perfect if you check out Arden, they have a very well thought out styling concept for the X type.

I heard the KW suspension stiff enough for track but good enough for daily use. Id like to do KW but Id rather do Universal air.
