#108083Hi
I used to be a member here a few years back when the site was still new. It's grown a lot since the last time I looked on here! Anyhow, some of you will remember me, but I changed my SN. Some of you I still communicate with regularly on other forums.I do things my own way, how I interpret them. I've been a big fan of VIP for a little over 4 years now, have dozens of VIP magazines, and have been the only supplier in the USA of Tein S-Techs for Y33 Q45's that entire time.
I'm back here to look and see what you guys are all working on mainly. Just got back from my 3rd trip to Japan last month and loved that I saw even more VIP style than any of the previous trips. I noticed many chassis that were not "VIP" that were VIP styled this time around, like the Toyota Mark & Chaser models, and the Honda Legacy which was nice to see.
My car has been featured on other sites and I currently have WORK wheel sponsorship.
98 Q45t, black on tan, 103k on the clock, bought with 76k in March 2004
Cima GT grille
WORK Euroline FS 19x9 / 19x10
body matched lower trim and Stillen front lip
full tint
full rear curtains: doors, rear 1/4 windows and rear window
front and rear wood-grain seat belt clips
rear wood-grain VIP drink & cigarette table (which I have 4 of for sale in black wood-grain)
Pioneer AVIC D3 nav & 7" head rest monitors
Magnaflow 18" x 3" angled exhaust tips (rear muffler delete)
yellow fog lights
de-badged trunk
LED plate lights
Tein S-Tech (I have 3 sets available for sale, in stock no wait)
KYB New SR Special shocks / struts
I'm forgetting some things, but that's close enough.
I'd love to have the car about 1" lower than it is, but just this weekend going to the LA Auto Show, it dragged the cats over the parking lot entrance with my wife and kid in the car and it hits some speed bumps no matter how I angle it. Plus my front lip needs re-painting already after less than 9 months and I hardly drive the car (less than 8k a year) so I dunno, but I may do it anyhow, although I don't know how I will get into my parking lot then. I've always been more into the EXE / conservative side of VIP, but we'll see as I'm working on some US made springs for the Y33 which are exactly like the Tein's but about 1" lower. I work in racing, and drive fast, so having it capable of performing is still important to me.
I'm a race fan in the biggest way, this year alone I've gone to the NHRA WinterNationals, ALMS Long Beach, Long Beach GP, Japanese F1 GP @ Fuji, & NHRA Finals. I took my little guy (17 months old) to 3 races this year and he seems to love it too, when he sees a Top Fuel dragster he goes "wooosh!". I do indoor kart racing and always compete in the top 3 spots, sponsor a 600cc sprint car driven by Drake Drollinger who's moving up to Ford Focus Sprint cars next year with Amsoil and graphic design services, have driven stock cars myself, and overall I live for speed.
Anyhow, I hope to contribute from time to time and that's about it.
Here's a pic of my Q in our warehouse:
