2000 Q45 radio problem

I just bought a 2000 Q45 Anniversary but the radio will not turn on. i checked the fuse and removed it to make sure it was all plugged in and it still wont turn on! Do these radio units go bad often or is there a relay or something that goes bad. any help would be greatly appreciated

the best thing to do is get a battery powered boom box, throw 8 double D batteries in and blast LL Cool J's "RADIO".

there's a fuse under (15amp) the hood and one inside (10amp).

If it's still not working for you after checking all fuses, I replaced my perfectly fine stock radio with a Pioneer Nav unit, and I need to sell the stock HU. It's just been in the Pioneer box the past 6 months.

Truthfully, they must go out sometimes. I noticed on my vehicle history printout from the Infiniti dealer that the stereo was replaced at one point, and when I took it out to install the Pioneer, it has a "reconditioned" (something like that) sticker on it. It works fine though, all buttons are there and the LCD is clear / relatively scratch free, and I have the 6 disc changer in the trunk if you want it too.

sounds like you have a broken solder joint on the volume potentiometer. u can open up the radio and heat up the joints and tint it with some new solder.
