TEIN S-Tech for Y33 Q45

The specs: Tein S-Tech, Y33, ~2" drop in front and ~1.75" drop in rear. I say roughly because the specs are in MM's and that's pretty much the rough translation (I wish USA would finally just convert to metric already.....). They ride decent on good stock shocks / struts, but if your stocks are over 60k, they are already blown out and it will be a little harsh. Shocks / struts on any generation Q45 are only good for about 60k. That said, if you have relatively new ones, they will ride fine with the Tein S-Techs. I rode on the old stockers for about 1 year before upgrading to KYB SR Specials and that combo is excellent. If you are interested in the shocks, I can get them for you through VSC Vendor 'One Ton VIP', or you can get them yourself from him (special order ONLY - NO US stock).

So, I have 3 sets of them, ready to ship out. The price is $329 via PayPal and that's SHIPPED inside the continental USA. I've sent some to both Hi and Can and the price is only about $15-25 more for the shipping.

Thanks man! You're riding on stock shocks / struts IIRC right? Thanks for the reference.

Kev, I think I read on NICO I think, that you are also importing Insurance Group coilovers too. Can you shed some light on that subject? I am sure a lot of VSC members would be interested. Oh and welcome back to VSC.

Insurance coilovers for Y33 are 2050.00. If we got a group buy, it would be cheaper. Must be paid in full up front. Shipping is NOT included in this price, it will be based on your location.

The Tein's offer a cheap price, decent drop (no, it's not slammed, but if you really must be slammed and have nice roads where you live, just cut 1 coil and it would be perfectly flush), an excellent ride, and at least if you don't have 2,000 for c/o's or 4,000+ for air, it's a great alternative. And best of all, these are in stock now, so there's no wait, pay today, have them 5 days later. Just in time for Christmas ;)

Kevin, I left you a feedback comment from our transaction on these springs I purchased from you back in Sept. 2005. I installed them with my 112K mile old oem struts/shocks and they worked perfectly fine for 20K miles, then I replaced them with IMPUL springs. Even after using the IMPUL springs that were slightly lower for another 10K miles, the oem struts/shocks are still not blown at 142K miles. I think the oem struts/shocks are underestimated, or maybe I just had an invincible set. Anyway, good springs, they rode nice, got them pretty quickly from the date of payment

Here's how my car looked when I had them on.

Benji, great to hear from you, and thanks for the feedback you left me. I can't believe it was that long ago that you got your set! I'll be in MD in the spring (if my parents don't pull the "oh, well, we're going to be in Cali so we'll just see you then" trick again) so I'd love to meet up.

I know I can just eliminate the electric suspension in My Ann. Edition, but does anyone know what would happen if I reconnected it after installing these??

It will still work as designed as long as your shocks are good still. But you'd probably want to leave it on Sport mode so it's stiffer. But yeah, if your shocks are good, you can leave it connected.
