I know most of you have seen my Y33 wood grain painting skillz I had quite a few pms about doing the F50 wood grain...THey have about 4-5 different wood choices..THis one is from an F50 with birdeseye maples I believe..The yellower color wood grain.. I did this this for another member and wanted to share pics of my work with all of you who have PMd me in the past..Whos next??? This was not as easy as the Y33 wood grain. I had to custom mix colors over and over and had to build it up...There are more burls on the pieces I did than the shift know I was sent but becuase the rest of the oem wood grain on his car has much more burls than the shift knob and he wanted me to match the other parts more...here are some pics for you all..

Thanks! YEah all airbrushed. It took me two days and one day to dry..I got the pieces on monday morning and I am shipping them out today. hour wise it took about 5 hours once I got the correct colors mixed.. THe person who sent them to me primed them for me so that cut down on total hours. I had to do some test panels first so if I added all that time over 10 hours...like I said this was a real tuff color to match...

Yes sir without a doubt....THis F50 birdseye maple is probably the toughest wood grain to to....lots of burls and color changing. Your ls does not have as many burls and the color should be easier to match...I know what your color looks like allready from other photos I have seen online...The f50 needed alot of flake and pearls to make it flip flop like the shift knob...from certain angles it was lighter than you turned it and it went from darker to lighter..that was tough to do..because well that shift knob is real wood and there is no airbrush skill that can give the same depth as reall wood does...

Wood grain tile? haha, just joking
That looks really good, what you did on those F50 parts. I'm amazed you managed you match that so closely, it does look like a really tricky finish to emulate
